Description

Silver clay is one of the most versatile inventions in the jewellery industry in recent decades. Perfect for beginners and intermediates, this full day class introduces you to the magic of silver clay and how to add beach glass to your piece. Create your own sea glass earrings, pendants or rings guided by our fully qualified and experienced metal clay tutor. Learn professional level techniques in this fully comprehensive class. You will learn how to: - Roll to a consistent thickness. - Texture and cut the clay. - Refine the dry pieces. - Add stones to your piece. - Fire the pieces. - Polish and finish the jewellery. You are welcome to bring along your own piece of sea glass to make something sentimental, or you can choose from our selection. Please be aware some glass pieces may need to be drilled, depending on design.

What's included in the price?

The cost of all the materials you will need is included in the class price! Refreshments are also provided. We schedule one hour for lunch but food is not provided, so please bring your lunch, or you can eat at one of the lunch spots less than a 2 minute walk from the school.

From our specialist workshop space, the school offers a wide range of vocational and recreational classes to include full jewellery making processes, design awareness and development creative business coaching. Alongside the established workshops, the school has a series of visiting specialist tutors offering both introductory and specialist classes throughout the year where we work with all level of students from complete beginners to professional makers. In addition we offer many recreational classes and bookings available from birthday parties, hen-dos and team building sessions, each class is built in with drinks and refreshments meaning that not only will you enjoy your day, you’ll leave with a solid foundation of skills you can build on in many ways.
