Come along on this two day workshop to create your own memory journal. You may be asking what is a handmade memory journal notebook? Is it a scrapbook? A photo album? A diary? The quickest answer is yes!! All of the above! Wouldn’t it be lovely to pick up a handmade memory journal, full of your own memories and keepsakes for you to reflect and relive. Our memory journal workshops have brought the creative art of reuse which embraces all our senses! This is great to do for yourself for the present or the future, or for a family member! A memory journal is a personalised collection of mementos, photos, and stories that document the life and memories of ourselves. We think this is a valuable wellbeing gift to ourselves, a friend or a family member with or without dementia. These journals help us remember, reminisce and connect with the past, but even the act of creating them should be treasured. You may want to celebrate a special event, or possibly signify a difficult time in your life, these journals can assist as the perfect creative therapy in coming to terms with a loss or remembering a fantastic time. Maybe you have a friend or family member who you think would benefit from this type of creativity or you may want to make a journal for someone as a gift for a wedding or birth. Memory journals also play a big part as an aid when caring for dementia patients. These books can hold all the important memories, including smells, and fabrics, so why not team up with your family and loved one to create their own book. These journals are tactile to touch and easily reached, brimming with memories and feelings. In present times we tend to store all our photos on our computers, phones or special family mementos in the loft. This journal can hold these memories for you. Here at ReVamp Boutique we have a huge collection of vintage fabrics, ribbons and lace ready for you to feast your eyes upon so what’s stopping you? Bring your collection of mementos and come and learn how to make your own memory journal in a therapeutic way! So if you are old enough to have experienced life and ready to embrace creativity this small group two day workshop could be for you! You will need to bring: - An old hardback book or a cereal box. - Any memorabilia that you have to create your memory journal. - Any meaningful papers, fabrics, ribbons you would like to use. Once booked the tutor will contact you directly with all the details you need on the email address you have given, so please check your junk files too. T &C's : We have the right to cancel a workshop or venue if we have not filled enough spaces. In this instance, we will give you at least 7 days notice and we will offer you an alternative date or a full refund.

Hello! My name is Sarah and I'm Creative Director at ReVamp Boutique in Essex. I work alongside my husband Simon delivering face to face wellbeing workshops which we have been running for over 8 years. I initially taught Interior Design at a local College where i discovered the love to share my ideas, give confidence and encouragement to even the most uncreative! Our workshops vary from upcycling furniture to reusing fabric. I have demonstrated our upcycling skills at Grand Designs London and in 2024 we were asked to deliver sustainable workshops at Westfield Stratford and Westfield London at The Good Festival So, for beginners or the more advanced looking to learn a new skill, possibly change direction in work or just want to have some fun we have the course just for you, a wellbeing escape from everyday life we have the perfect event.
