Make silver jewellery - one day workshop
Description
This is a one day introductory course in making silver jewellery. The day is designed for people with little or no experience of silver jewellery making, or for those experienced in making silver jewellery. Learn about basic tools, workshop practice and traditional jewellery techniques for working in silver. You will make and finish a simple band ring in the morning and then in the afternoon move on to learning to texture metals and cut out sheet silver to make a pendant or a pair of earrings. People with some experience will have the day tailored to your level. Please get in touch before the day if you have a specific project in mind so that I can be sure to have materials in stock for you. The workshops are held in my studio next to the River Tamar near Bere Alston in West Devon. The group size is small, so you will have plenty of individual attention. Following booking you will be sent an email with directions and details of what to bring. A minimum of two people are needed for the day to run as a group workshop.
What's included in the price?
All tools and equipment will be provided. The cost of materials for the first project is included, thereafter the silver will be weighed and charged at cost depending on what you decide to make. This usually come to about £15.00. Teas and coffees and will be provided. Please bring your own packed lunch and snacks.

FAQs
You can bring a teenager with you but they must be accompanied by a responsible adult who is also booked onto the workshop.
The minimum number of participants is 2 and the maximum is 5.
The small group size means yo will get plenty of attention.
The course will only run if at least two people are booked to come.
Absolutely not, you can be a complete beginner and will come away with 2 or more completed pieces of jewellery.
The jewellery studio is at South Hooe on the River Tamar near Bere Alston. Full directions will be sent following your booking.
Please wear closed toed robust footwear (no sandals)
Dress warmly in winter
Remember your glasses if you need them for close work.
If you have an old apron please bring it with you.
