Join us for our latest workshop with expert bookbinder Mylyn McColl and make yourself a beautiful and unique leather journal. In this half day class, you’ll be taught all the skills to make yourself a luxurious journal. Firstly you’ll fold all the paper to prepare pages and then use the traditional long stitch to attach them to the soft leather cover, before finally adding a cord or ribbon closure. This lovely binding feels great in the hand and the pages open flat, making it great for journaling and sketching. This workshop is suitable for all levels, as no prior experience of bookbinding is required. You’ll be guided through all the processes and leave with your own beautiful book, as well as the skills to make more. All materials and use of tools are included, together with lots of tea, coffee and homemade cake.
