Description

Broomstick crochet is the latest exciting crochet technique we’ve been experimenting with at Handmade and this class is the perfect introduction and a great way to expand your repertoire of crochet skills. It’s a relatively simple technique to master, yet it allows you to create impressive garments, blankets and accessories. During the workshop, we’ll teach you the basics of broomstick crochet and then you’ll start to work on a pattern to make a stylish pair of fingerless gloves. Attendees should be comfortable holding the hook and yarn and know the basic crochet stitches (chain, double crochet and treble) and how to read a basic crochet pattern. We’ll provide the cotton yarn and a chunky knitting needle (which is yours to keep so that you can complete your gloves at home). You just need to bring along a 4mm crochet hook. Drinks will be served to help the learning process! The workshop will be led by Ann from Handmade Workshops.
