Description
Over the course of two very busy days, you will produce a Viking Sunset Bowl in the style of the work pioneered by the wonderful late woodturner Nick Agar. Techniques covered will include basic bowl turning, texturing and finishing techniques. Students who wish to can explore their own creativity, using a wide range of texturing and finishing resources, so they are able to produce their own unique take on what has become a classic design. Please note - This course is aimed at the intermediate woodturner who wants to take their bowl turning in an exciting new direction.
What's included in the price?
You will receive expert tuition from a very experienced teacher at your own lathe with a comprehensive range of freshly sharpened tools. Once finished, you will be able to take home all of the projects you have completed, which will have been made from high quality hardwoods and finishes. Lunch (sandwiches) is provided along with a plentiful supply of tea, coffee and biscuits! Off road parking is available.

After a 24 year teaching career, specialising in carpentry, woodworking and woodturning, I qualified as a DATA accredited trainer, delivering subject and machine training to teaching staff in schools and colleges all over the UK. Due to my passion for woodworking in general, which is my hobby as well as my occupation, I have now decided to start offering courses at my fully equipped workshop in Stockport, for people who share the same passion.
