Halloween Keyrings - Adult beginners needle felting workshop

Taking place at The Art Yard gallery in Cradley Heath, from 10am-1pm this is an adult needle felting workshop with tutor Natalie Harris (Brooks). Natalie is a fine artist using needle felting and the creator of Roly Poly Ponies. This workshop is aimed at adult (18+) beginners and first time felters. Types of wool, needles and processes are explained and then you will be guided through the process, step by step whilst Natalie makes along with you. You will have time to make two keyrings.. A 3D pumpkin in the colour of your choice and one other, a ghost or a selection of other simple spooky shapes will be available to choose from. All materials are provided. Tea and coffee will be available. Booking essential, £25 per person. This session will be followed be a friendly felting session, (see events for more details), but this is designed as a friendly felting group where you can bring an unfinished project or start a new one in a supportive atmosphere. Natalie is a fine artist that has been using needle felting as a part of her practice since 2015. Natalie uses felting in both 2D and 3D works and has had work shown nationally including the RBSA, Society of Equestrian Artists, Wolverhampton Art Gallery, The New Art Gallery Walsall and The Herbert, Coventry. Notable exhibitions include National Trust owned Beningbrough Hall's "Oh Wise Owl" sculpture trail in 2017. In 2018 she was selected for the "Character Portrait Project" through Midland Film and Arts. She was part of the George Stubbs inspired exhibition at Normanby Hall and Country Park in 2024. Natalie is a lead artist at The Art Yard in Cradley Heath and regularly shows work with them. Natalie is also the creator of the fun and quirky Roly Poly Ponies and runs regular workshops for all levels.
