Hares - Adult Improvers Needle Felting Workshop
Description
Inspired by the beautiful Hare illustration by Philip Speakman Webb (a study for "The Forest tapestry later made by Morris & co, this illustration is part of Wightwick Manor's collection) this is an adult needle felting workshop. Natalie is a fine artist using needle felting and the creator of Roly Poly Ponies. The workshop is aimed at confident beginners that have had a go at needle felting before and for those looking to learn some new techniques. There will be a partial armature on the front legs. Attendees should be able to make simple firm shapes such as as eggs and balls. In the morning (10.30-12:30) the basics of what type of wool and needles are best for sculpting will be explained and then you will use some basic techniques to make the base sculpt of your hare. We will break for lunch and an opportunity to get some fresh air in the grounds at 12.30. We will then return at 13:30 and continue making until around 16:00 to finish our hares and to add the finer details and concentrate on blending the coat colours. Note that as Wightwick Manor is a historical venue, some floors may be unlevel and you will have to negotiate some stairs. Booking is essential, £35 per person. Full T+C's are on the notes section of my page or are available upon request
