Fused Glass Christmas Snowflake Decorations for all Levels
Description
Glass fusing - stylish snowflakes. Christmas mini workshops with Mike Caddy. Create a pair of charming wintry snowflakes on this half-day Christmas workshop for beginners and those with some glass fusing experience In this workshop, you'll learn how to create two beautiful fused glass snowflakes, approx 11-12cm wide for Christmas, combining clear glass and coloured frit to make stylish decorations for your tree (or anywhere). This workshop is suitable for beginners, but if you've already enjoyed learning the basics of glass fusing on one of our beginner's classes, this is a lovely opportunity to make two seasonal pieces for Christmas - for yourself or as gifts! The starting point for projects on this class is a number of strips of COE 90 clear fusible glass, cut for you. You'll then learn how to cut these in to the required components for your pair of snowflakes with our tuition. Then it's time to lay out the pieces so they'll fuse together permanently and decorate them using frits - crushed coloured glass in a huge range of colours and granule sizes. Once your pieces are ready for the kiln, we'll fire them and let you know when they're ready for collection - approximately 1-2 weeks after the workshop.
