A class for children in traditional textile making in this hands-on and inspiring 6-week course led by fibre artist Flo Perrett. Designed especially for tweens aged 8–14, this course explores the journey of wool from raw fleece to finished thread and beyond.

What's included in the price?

Participants will: • Learn how to handle and clean raw fleece • Try carding wool and preparing it for spinning • Use drop spindles and spinning wheels to make yarn • Experiment with natural dyeing using plant-based materials • Explore simple weaving techniques on small looms • Take home samples of their own fibre creations With a focus on slow craft and mindful making, this course fosters creativity, patience and appreciation for where our materials come from.
