Led by experienced artisan Beryl Chalk, this 6-week course is part of our opening series of heritage craft classes. It offers a warm, welcoming space to slow down, connect with natural materials, and learn a deeply satisfying skill rooted in tradition.
What's included in the price?
Throughout the course, you’ll learn the foundational techniques of cane basket weaving. From preparing your materials and understanding the structure of different basket forms, to learning traditional weaves and how to finish your own functional basket – this course is designed to guide beginners and improvers alike. You’ll be supported through each stage of the process with demonstrations, individual guidance, and time to practice your developing skills. All tools and materials will be provided.
