Needle Felting workshop - Create your own place mat and coaster set
Description
Learn how to create in 2D, using needle felting techniques. In this short workshop, Katy will show you how to create a beautiful new fabric, by needle felting pieces of wool felt together. Once you've mastered this technique, we will create a place mat and coasters set. Spend a lovely morning in a beautiful barn conversion studio in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside. Located on the A58 from Leeds to Wetherby. Easy to get to. Easy access and ample free parking. This workshop runs from 10am until 1pm. Refreshments are available.
What's included in the price?
Drinks and refreshments. All materials supplied - wool felt, scissors, felting needles. Place mats and coasters. Goody bag.

Maker
Katy is a feltmaker, felt artist and teacher. She has taught Art, Design & Technology and Textiles in secondary schools for 24 years. She now runs her own art / craft business. Katy offers a variety of workshops, attends Fairs and exhibits. She is a member of the International Feltmakers Association.

Yes children are very welcome. The workshop is suitable for children aged 10+.
All children must be accompanied by a parent / guardian.
All materials are included in the price.
Reference pictures are available.
You may bring your own pictures and an apron.
There is ample free parking at the venue.
You can park on the grass of the private venue.
Your tutor will bring her own Kits which will be for sale:
A goody bag including yarns, threads and a worksheet are available to take home.

The venue has no steps and can be easily accessed by wheelchair users or those with limited mobility.
