Dogs - Intermediate level Adult Needle Felting Workshop
Description
Taking place at The Art Yard gallery in Cradley Heath. This is an adult needle felting workshop with tutor Natalie Harris (Brooks). Natalie is a fine artist using needle felting and the creator of Roly Poly Ponies. This workshop is aimed at adults (18+) that have done a few needle felting projects before...attendees should already have a basic grasp of needle felting and be able to make firmly felted shapes (balls, eggs, flat shapes). The focus will be on using a simple armature, developing shapes and adding a touch of realism...so if that's something that you are looking to move onto, this workshop is for you! This is an open workshop in that I will be offering pointers on your make and starting you off with the right techniques, but you will adapt them to suit your own dog sculpture. To ensure that I have the correct colour and fibre available, you will need to send me a photo of the dog that you would like to make (I will need one directly from the side). If you are just interested in a certain breed that's fine, just let me know what breed and colour. You will make your own armature and by then end you have produced the main shape of your dog and begun to add colour and markings. I would love for you to take home a finished piece, but some dogs are more complicated than others. If you don't quite finish, you may take materials from the workshop, and you should have the confidence to add any finishing touches at home. Booking essential. Full T+C's are on the notes section of my page or are available upon request.
