Cat's Cottage ONLINE: a one day creative writing for confidence retreat with Cat Weatherill
Description
An ONLINE chance to join best-selling author Cat Weatherill in her four hundred year old cottage for a day of gentle confidence-building and creativity. If you feel you have lost your way, have no stories to tell or simply don't know where to begin, this is the day for you. Cat, the founder of Pilates for the Pen, will lead you through a series of reflective writing exercises that will spark your imagination, bring fresh insights and raise your self-esteem. You do not need to have writing experience, simply a desire to express yourself. Deeply satisfying, fun but focussed, the workshop will especially benefit anyone who is finding it difficult to settle to writing at the moment. Introducing Cat... Cat has been a professional story-spinner for more than twenty years. She is a best-selling children's author and has written for adults in The Times and on BBC Radio 4. She is also a performance storyteller, working internationally at festivals, in theatres & schools and at historic sites. As a workshop leader she has worked for the Society of Authors, The Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Trust, the RSPB, the British Council (as far away as Singapore!) and many literary festivals across the UK. FAQs
Yes, this is possible. I tend to list weekend dates but can do mid-week days too. Let's chat!
Yes. It's one-to-one, so you won't have to introduce yourself to strangers or share any of your work. I can also do it with two attendees, if your friend would like to do it too. (You will both need to book tickets)
No. You can be a complete beginner. This day isn't about the standard of your writing - it is about YOU. It's about inspiring you and making you feel more confident about writing. You will go home brimming with ideas.
That should be fine. I might need to change it too! It's best if we try to stick to it, but things can come up unexpectedly.
