"Zantium Studios is set in a beautiful location which is made better by the welcome from Godfrey the peacock. Alison and Peter hosted the 2-day workshop beautifully; they are the loveliest people and were available for anything we needed. Ahead of attending the course Alison was on hand to answer all my questions and assured me that they could cater for my gluten free needs. The lunches were delicious as were the yummy snacks, teas and coffees. I attended the 2-day basket weaving class with Eddie Glew. The course lived up to all my expectations and more. Eddie is a great teacher and I couldn't recommend him and Zantium studios more highly."

"Had been looking forward to doing a workshop with Eddy for ages, and was certainly not disappointed! I made a log basket and although not a total beginner felt lots of fine tunings shown by Eddy really helped me up my game. He was so patient and spotted little things I was doing that were not quite there yet, and helped me to work on the correct method to give a much better finish on my basket. Thanks Eddy i will definitely be back! Thanks also to our lovely hosts at the wonderful Zantium Studios, beautiful surroundings, including Godfrey the peacock! And the lovely lunches and snacks. Such a great experience all round. Would definitely recommend!!"

The course was really informative and fun taken at a pace to suit everyone but a small enough group to make it feel very personal. Holly was a great teacher calm and positive. The setting was beautiful with lovely food and refreshments. I will definitely look for other courses at this venue"

"I really enjoyed the whole day. Holly was excellent in her instructions which enabled me to produce a book of which I am very proud. She obviously knew her stuff and put it across very well for absolute beginners like me! I an inspired to continue with this craft into the future. "A good tutor who could take a complete novice and equip them with the skills to take home a basket that they can be proud of. Fantastic environment to work in and brilliant hospitality from the owners of the studio. "My husband and I went to the one-day course last week (June 2021) as our 2019 Christmas present from our children. It was worth the wait and delays. The location is beautiful and immediately makes you feel welcome and relaxed. Alison and Peter are a joy to meet and so accommodating. Peter took our course and was knowledgeable, approachable and so friendly. We were excited to be learning a new craft and were not disappointed with the whole process. Our mosaic actually looks like a mosaic (with some issues as beginners) but definitely a mosaic! It was so lovely to bring home our creation and be able to share it with our children. We cannot thank Peter and Alison enough for the whole day and the welcome. We now have a little knowledge about mosaic making and are hoping to do more at home. I have already bought the tools and cannot wait!"

"I really enjoyed our day in this creative haven near Wirksworth. The studio is well lit with plenty of natural light and the size of the course was a nice surprise, [small]. We soon became engrossed under Holly's expert tuition and I was very impressed by our output. Holly provided a good range of paper for our covers. The lunch and cake was of a lovely home baked standard. I so enjoyed my day."

"I had a wonderful time making a willow obelisk then dragonflies and willow wind spinners. Eddie was brilliant as a tutor - really helpful, patient and clear and also very encouraging! The setting was lovely and we were all made to feel very welcome and the food provided was delicious, especially the homemade brownies! Thank you for such a memorable day - I loved it!"

"I recently attended this course at zantium studios. What a brilliant time I had. The location was beautiful, the house was adorable and homely. Alison was so very welcoming. The course tutor, Von, was very nice and the class of 8 of us were all ladies, who were a great laugh. I learnt a lot on the course and came out with a lovely hare, which I am very proud of!. The lunch and cake, which Alison so beautifully made for us was absolutely delicious!. I definitely want to go back to zantium studios to learn more crafts. Thankyou to everyone involved in making my day there so special and great fun!"

"A fantastic course with a lovely group of fellow novices! Lori is a really good teacher, calm and patient with the ability to match the pace of the teaching so that no-one was waiting or feeling rushed. Venue is beautiful, and the weather was gorgeous which meant that we got to enjoy the stunning views over to Carsington reservoir in the sun trap of a garden. Lunch was excellent and afternoon cakes were scrummy. Thoroughly recommend Zantium and this course. I'm already planning what to do next. Thank you for a fun day"

"An excellent day in the beautiful rural heart of Derbyshire. The workshop was great fun and excellently run by Von Allen. I was really proud of my cute Hare (Harriet) even though I was a complete beginner. The whole day felt like being a welcome house guest, with a homemade lunch of soup, bread rolls, fruits, cheeses etc. Afternoon tea was, again, homemade. This time mouthwatering chocolate and almond cake. I cannot recommend the event and Zantium Studios highly enough."

"Homely welcome coupled with excellent tuition - I recently attended the painted stained glass weekend course. Alison and Pete make you very welcome in their home with tea, coffee, delicious home cooked lunch and cake in the afternoon. The course is held in their home with a purpose built studio for the class. The tuition by Jane Littlefield on this course was excellent. Covered all the basics and provided all the support that was needed for all delegates. Thoroughly recommended."

"The bookbinding course was superb, I couldn't have imagined that I would leave at the end of the day with a book that looked as if I had bought it in a shop!! Holly was an excellent tutor, really knowledgable but perfectly well-paced. And super organised too! The environment is lovely as well, with a very warm welcome from Alison and Peter, superb home-cooked food (the cake itself is worth the trip!) and a gorgeous studio to work in. I would so recommend this course to anyone, whether you do crafts or not."
