"I enjoyed my weaving day in Portsmouth and if you'd like an introduction to this fascinating craft, I'd recommend it. It's a good chance to relax and learn from Alice, how to prepare the loom and start to create your own design-as simple or complex as you like. In a small group, Alice will instruct you when you need it or leave you to just enjoy the process, and there's the bonus of purchasing the loom at the end if you wish. Hope to do more days when the opportunity arises."

"I've just had a wonderful day weaving with Alice. There were 4 of us on the course and Alice was very attentive, which meant that we had individual help as soon as we needed it. Her instructions were very clear and I was really pleased to come home with my tapestry, and excited to do more and finish it. I have just booked onto the next course and am looking forward very much to another creative day."

It was lovely piecing together different colours and textures of yarn to create your very own piece of weaving to take away. "I had a great day earlier this month learning to weave (from scratch as I had never even touched a loom before!) at Alice's Studio at The Hot Walls, Southsea. She really is the most delightful girl, very attentive and patient, and as the group only consisted of another 3 likeminded ladies Alice gave us all the attention we needed. I was delighted with what I achieved and look forward to attending another workshop with her before too long. I can recommend her courses and indeed a visit to the Hot Walls Studios as they are great."

"I went on the 1 day course at Making Space recently and found it so inspiring. Alice is a really patient teacher and gives you plenty of room to explore your own ideas. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone. You have the option of buying the equipment for a very reasonable price. I did and made two more weaves the next day!"
