"I took my mum to this course as her 60th birthday present and we both absolutely loved it! Sandra is an amazing teacher, before we went I was worried that we wouldn't be able to get the hang of jewellery making but both myself and my mum came away with pieces of jewellery to be proud of. Sandra really went out of her way to help you create and is a very knowledgable and talented craftswoman. We were taught a number of different techniques and ways to create what we had in mind. I cannot stress enough how fun this day was! I would love to do it again. It's a perfect birthday present for anyone considering this as a gift."

I booked this course as a surprise for her & with Sandra's help, she made herself 3 beautiful rings. I created a silver bangle for her & we both came away with copper heart pendants to remind us of our day together. "Sandra’s patient friendly manner enabled me to have confidence to create beautiful earrings which I had a clear picture of in my imagination but was unable to even draw. I am not artistic with my hands but Sandra demonstrated and then encouraged me to have a go at many different skills to translate my idea into reality. "Having undertaken 3 courses with Sandra Kerns Jewellery at various levels I can say with confidence Sandra is not only a talented silversmith but also a wonderful teacher and has taught me many useful techniques from basic silver clay and silversmithing to more technical processes and problem solving - who would have thought the humble potato such a useful tool! Sandra is incredibly patient and has a well equiped studio in a beautiful location ready to teach basic jewellery making/beading and more advanced skills for those with some knowledge already who want to advance. Great value, learn a new skill, make an item you can wear and maybe leave with one or two bought from her collection which is hard to resist!"

"I was privileged to be one of Sandra's first students. The day covered a lot of information which Sandra has obviously put a lot of thought, time and effort into learning in order to pass this on. But it wasn’t just about the new knowledge I gained. The main benefits came from actually creating a piece, receiving individual feedback and interacting with Sandra about ideas and techniques. This day gave me a much firmer appreciation of the jewellery making process, especially when Sandra was thrilled when I finally broke a saw blade. (Apparently this is very common). I made some lovely pieces that day which a friend wore for her wedding. I would highly recommend this course. Sandra is a great teacher a wonderful mentor, but ultimately a superb silversmith!"
