"I bought this course for my daughters and myself for a Christmas present, it was well worth the money. We had a fabulous day, very relaxed atmosphere, Jonathan doesn't rush you at all, he is an amazing teacher, very patient and thorough, and he makes the best Victoria sponge cake! We all came away with a copper key ring which we practiced on, plus as many copper and silver stacking rings that we could make. I have told everyone how wonderful the day was and what a wonderfully peaceful location it is on a barge bobbing on the canal. Thank you Jonathan for getting me interested in making my own jewellery, I even bought the starter kit! Miranda, Gem and Jess xxx"

"We had a fabulous day on Jonathan's narrow boat learning how to make silver jewellery. He was such a great teacher, very calm and patient, and explained things with demonstrations so clearly. In the morning we practised skills using copper wire and planned what we wanted to make and then set about turning those ideas into real jewellery in the afternoon. I was absolutely delighted with the silver ring I made. Thank you so much Jonathan, it was a brilliant experience and worth every penny!"

"We had such a fabulous day, I did not look at the time once, the hours just flew by. I was totally immersed in the moment. Great tuition, very knowledgeable and patient. We went over time, my fault entirely, I chose something a little more complex but Jonathan was kind enough to see it through to completion. I would so recommend this course to anyone of any ability. The boat just added to the course uniqueness and ambience. A perfect day, I’m thrilled with the items I produced. I would love to do another course. "Jonathan was an excellent tutor and accommodated our family group, who had gathered together for a special birthday celebration, on his beautiful canal barge. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and we all came away with a piece of jewellery that we are thrilled with. Suffice to say we are planning another visit to learn how to make more pieces and the younger members of the family are keen to take this up as a hobby!"

"What a perfect day! Jonathan was so welcoming, relaxed and informative and the boat was a delight to be on for the day. We were welcomed with cups of tea and mid-morning mince-pies! Despite being a really cold day the wood-burning stove kept us very cosy. We did a one day jewellery making course where we designed our own rings. I thought the process was brilliantly explained and the practice in copper was just as enjoyable as the silver work. Jonathan also takes a lot of time to listen to your ideas and is so encouraging without being pushy. He is generous both with his time and the materials available. The course was worth every penny and I'm sure I will go back for further courses."

"We have had the best time making each other’s wedding rings. Every last thing was perfect; the location, the tea, the whole experience was top notch. Jonathan’s expertise and calmness was a perfect balm in the middle of wedding-planning chaos. Seriously, I would recommend everyone makes their own wedding rings on this boat, you get to spend the day away from wedding madness and be calm and you get to make something with love for the person you love. I cried a little when I saw how much love and care he put into making mine, I will cherish it forever. The one I made for him is pretty amazing too!! We were both slightly nervous as we were complete beginners, but Jonathon made sure we felt supported and comfortable. He filled us both full of confidence and knew when to sit back and when to step in. We are delighted with our rings, they are unique and really high quality, I cannot recommend this day enough and we will remember it always."
