"An exciting package arrived yesterday and this afternoon I knitted a blanket! The wool is so gorgeous to work with and Sophie’s videos are so easy to follow. As I’m quite an experienced knitter this took me less time than stated to complete, and I’m thrilled with the result! Thank you so much Sophie, I love my blanket!"

Julie reviewed: Embellished wire & paper wall hanging workshop

"Judith is a lovely host in a quirky, stylish cafe and studio space. Everything was clearly explained and help given whenever needed, whether for how to do something, or advice on colour or pattern, so that I couldn’t be prouder of what I made! Time flew by, punctuated with good food, plenty of tea and nice chat. A really great day, which I’d thoroughly recommend whether you have lots of crafting experience or very little, like the friend I attended with, we both enjoyed ourselves and came away with little treasures, thanks to Judith."

Judith Brown Jewellery responded:

"Thanks for such a lovely review Julie, you both made lovely finished pieces to be proud of. Thanks for booking onto another workshop with me too!"

Sharon Whittock reviewed: Design a room in your home with weekly one to one consultations

"Thank you Nikki! For your wonderful course content, and for your amazing support throughout! I'm reasonably confident with decorating and colour - but I'm SO pleased I signed up for the course! It was a bit of a treat, as we'd just moved to a new house and a blank canvas to put my stamp on. I had lots of ideas for some rooms - but was really stuck on the main Living Room - the room I chose to work on through the course. I loved the way Nikki starts you off by digging in to find your own personal 'Style' - so before you make any decorating decisions, you know where to find inspiration, understand what's authentic for you, and know what will make you happy to 'live with'! Once you know what your foundation is - making choices is so much easier - and exciting as you see it all falling into place! The course is beautifully structured, so you build the scheme gradually - and the weekly calls with Nikki were so supportive - inspiring - reassuring - all at your own pace, and challenging in a really good way. Things I thought didn't need changing, became obvious that they did - to stay true to my 'style' - she just asks you the right questions, so you discover for yourself! I am so happy with the result! And confident that I've made the right choices so that as I work through the rest of the house, I will be able to create a consistent flow - and have the course to work through again to support the creative process. Just fabulous! - loved working with you Nikki xxx"

David Greenhill reviewed: Two day (consecutive) stained glass starter course at North Norfolk Stained Glass

"I attended this brilliant course in December, the tuition was fantastic. Paul took me through every stage of the glass panel making and with his guidance was able to complete a leaded panel over the two days from start to finish. This has given me the confidence as a complete novice to be able to attempt some of my own work. I highly recommend this course."

Richard Pickard reviewed: Copper Foil Technique Stained Glass

"An absolutely amazing experience! Amanda is brilliant, kind, patient and attentive to the needs of her learners. As a teacher myself I understand the pressures, especially when working 1:1 with a new subject. Even after the course ended, Amanda continued to offer support with questions I had about buying equipment and she saved me from hours of searching online. I will be booking another course with Amanda in the future, without doubt."

Dragonfly Glass Art responded:

"Hi Richard, Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review- much appreciated!!!! I look forward to seeing you in the future, and what you have been making!!!! If you get stuck, just get in touch!! Amanda"

"Had the pleasure of doing this course back at the end of October, having done the whisky tumbler course earlier in the year I wanted to go back and try something I could really sink my teeth into. Once again, I had the pleasure of Ged's company and his relaxed, insightful tutelage. And I ended up with a shavehorse that I'm proud of! Thanks again Ged, hope to see you again in 2022 :)"

Gedwood responded:

Patty reviewed: 4 week mixed media mosaic course - 'Peace by Piece'

"This was an unexpected gift for my birthday ... and I LOVED it. Emma (our course tutor) was so welcoming, easy, warm and encouraging of whatever stage all the students were at. (me an absolute novice? ) She created a learning environment that was supportive and friendly ... and we not only all learned of the methodology and 'tricks of the trade' from Emma's life-long experience and love of the craft but also from one another. All materials and tools were supplied for our use - and for us to familiarise ourselves with which materials/medium/approach appealed to us. We were encouraged to 'go with the flow' and in whichever direction our instincts took us ... changing direction/materials along the way when something didn't quite feel right. A journey of discovery and learning, experimenting and progression. A time-out for ourselves to try something that we had maybe wanted to try but had never quite got around to. As I mentioned earlier ... I LOVED it ... and whole-heartedly recommend anyone who may have had inclinations to try it ... DO IT."

Jan Aksnes reviewed: 'Art your way' with Jill Jones FRSA, 3 hours

"Jill’s course was recommended by a friend and although Pembrokeshire is a long way from where I live I was happy to go .. me for the first time ( but hopefully not last) and my friend on a return visit. Jill shared her knowledge of acrylic painting with such enthusiasm and encouragement that I surprised myself ( and family and friends) with the paintings I produced at the end of the course. Jill’s warmth and friendship ( not forgetting the great lunches of course! ) all made the 4 day course so enjoyable . I would highly recommend this course."

Jill Jones Fine Art responded:

"Hi Jan, You were amazing - that painting you did of the bay with the white/cream cottage to the right and the gold and lilac sky was just superb! You did so well in the week you were here - it would be great to see you again. Keep up the great work! Jill"

Janette Stewart reviewed: Seascapes, 2 day free motion machine embroidery workshop

"I did this workshop last year (2020) really enjoyed it. All materials were supplied - real fun rummaging around looking for bits and pieces to make up the picture. Alison kept the day moving at a good pace, giving a lot of information in bite size chunks so I didn't feel overwhelmed. I even managed to finish my piece which was a first. Thank you Alison for an enjoyable 2 days!"

Libby Hughes reviewed: Bring Your Own Upholstery Project - 1 day workshop - Week Days

"I would highly recommend this course to anyone that wants to have a go at upholstery, whether it be for a home project or to see if it is a hobby or career you may want to pursue. Sarah has a wealth of knowledge in upholstery and interiors, and as she limits the size of the groups to 6 people, it means she also dedicates a lot of time to each individual in the group. There is no pressure to keep up with others, and although there is a lot of information to take in during the day, I found the course very relaxing and enjoyable, and will certainly be booking on to another course in the future."

Jane Hawes reviewed: Silver Jewellery making class at Sandra Kerns Jewellery studio, Little Sampford

"I had the best day with Sandra. She is a lovely lady. I didn't have a clue what was involved in making jewellery and had never made anything in silver before. At the end of the day I came home with a lovely pendant which I had designed and made myself and I've already had a lot of positive comments on it. Sandra is very knowledgeable and explains everything very well. I would really recommend Sandra's courses and I really hope I will be able to go back."

Ian reviewed: Lathe turning for beginners with Thompsons Wood

"I got the course as a Xmas present and I can genuinely say that it didn't disappoint!! Jake is a really good instructor, proved by the fact that as a complete novice, I managed 2 bowls and a pen, admittedly, 1 bowl shattered in half, but we caught up again with a second one. Lunch was great too!! Jake has definitely got me hooked and I can't wait to get myself a lathe and get started. I would totally recommend this course for anyone thinking of getting into woodturning or wanting tips and advice to improve their skills."
