Tim Wightman reviewed: Welding with confidence

"A fascinating day, not least for the welding tuition! Loads of support and tips, and importantly, practical hands-on welding time, ensuring that you end the day with a real sense of achievement. Nigel has immense knowledge and communicates well on the welding basics. I would recommend this course to anyone wishing to gain an introduction to the black art! "

Nicola Wood reviewed: Seaglass jewellery workshop at Sea & Solder, Dorset.

"The course with Jules was inspiring. You arrive and can’t quite believe you will be able to make such a beautiful piece of jewellery in one day. She broke it down onto easy segments and no one was left behind. I was also surprised at how unique all our pieces were by the time we had finished. I was able to use a piece of my own sea glass and made a beautiful sail shaped pendant. Something I will treasure along with the memories of the day! I can’t recommend this day with Sea &Solder enough! "

Paul reviewed: Kiln Formed Glass Course: 1 to 1

"A massive thank you to Ewa for opening her studio to me. The studio is set in a very serene and picturesque location. I had great fun working on glass art with her help and resources. Ewa was very accommodating and allowed me to work on several different pieces with different shapes, sizes and textures. She let me work on my own ideas and gave me thoughts and ideas when needed. It was a great experience. I would definitely recommend it! Looking forward to seeing my pieces after they've been fired!"

Morag reviewed: Wood turning - One day course

"What an experience! Anna explained everything step by step because, as a complete beginner, I needed that. The day went quickly. Step by step Anna demonstrated, then after each step, it was my turn. I was guided unobtrusively, while being allowed to get a feel for the tools and wood. The one to one tuition, meant it all went at my pace, and I did not feel I was keeping others back. Anna is so patient, reassuring, clearly loves her profession and made me feel relaxed. I was so proud of my finished bowl! I hope to be able to take part in more Woodturning classes run by Anna, and even feel I would enjoy being part of a small group for beginners. "

Anna L Nichols Furniture responded:

"Glad you had a good time "

Jan reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"Just back from a fabulous day Hare-making. Jo is an excellent tutor, clear explanations and offering really helpful support throughout the day, nothing was rushed either. Really pleased with my medium hare, worth the upgrade for such a statement piece. What a lovely spot in her garden for the studio too. Totally inspiring day, thank you very much."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Jan! Lovely to have you both in the studio making your medium sized hares which you finished in the fabulous dark copper patina. The blue patina will change depending on the weather if you display them in the garden. How fortunate with the warm October weather! Hope to see you again, Jo x"

Kerry Ford reviewed: Introduction to glass painting (1 day) in Sheffield, South Yorkshire

"I think I've found my new love! I was looking to add another dimension to my stained glass work - and I am now a convert. Martin is, as always, concise and informative - taking you in small steps through the processes of painting lines, curves and experimenting with textures before moving on to the removal technique. Everyone had the chance to make several pieces during the day, and the opportunity to either use the templates and ideas provided or to use your own. No prior experience of working with glass is needed - and I would definitely not call myself a painter, but I am delighted with the pieces I made. Also a great recommendation for lunch from the cafe next door!"

Martin McAssey Glass responded:

"Thank you for the great review, I'm really glad you enjoyed the day."

"I spent the day with Ted at his workshop in Stoke on Trent, 8th October 23. Anyone new to scrolling will definitely benefit from the day. Ted was patient, constructive and I would have no problem recommending this course. Thanks Ted "

Scott Allan reviewed: Pen Making Course (1/2 day)

"Purchased this course for my daughter (young adult) after visiting Fulbeck Craft Centre earlier in the year. She had a great time and was really pleased with the results of her work and the course. Derek was a great teacher as I watched throughout, explaining everything about what they were doing and why, alternatives that could be used even if they weren't being used that day and had a lovely manner about him. She'd already like to return in the future for a full day course. Recommended all round. "
