Theresa reviewed: Fused Glass Workshops

"What an amazing day! My eyes were opened! This is the first craft course I’ve ever done (a friend gifted me a voucher) and I’m so pleased to have spent a day learning about the endless possibilities of fused glass. Elaine is a delightful teacher and explained everything at a level we all could understand, by demonstrating and illustrating with finished works. We completed 4 coasters and a larger piece - the timing was perfect, we never felt rushed or that we wouldn’t have time to complete our pieces and also enjoyed Elaine’s home cooked lunch. Elaine contacted us prior to the course suggesting we arrive with some ideas - a quick flick through Pinterest was very helpful, and I arrived with projects in mind. Once there I nearly changed my mind to go completely random, but was pleased to stick to my original concept, on this my first attempt at fused glass… I look forward to trying new ideas at future workshops…."

Lady of Glass responded:

"Thank you, Theresa, for the lovely review. It was a pleasure teaching you, and l hope that you can join me on future workshops"

Susan Martin reviewed: Gel plate printing starter kit with handmade A5 gel plate, instructions and videos

"I bought this as a gift and chose it because everything that was needed was included plus the instruction videos which seemed a great idea. It arrived quickly and was well packed."

Bev Evans Art and Print responded:

"Thanks for a great ‘buyer only’ review Susan. The videos save the learner having to read a booklet whilst printing plus they also give a good visual demonstration - all the different stages are broken down into manageable sections. It’s good to hear that the packaging is protecting the kits well on their journey via Royal Mail! 😊 Best wishes, Bev "

Kiara reviewed: Couples blacksmithing experience: three hours in the forge

"I booked the Couples Blacksmithing course for my partner and I for Christmas. The booking process was super easy and the actual experience was even more stress-free than I could have imagined. The demonstrations were easy to follow, there was a lot of support and freedom available and the staff were so helpful! I had a lovely chat with John, Joe and Olaf who were all super interesting to speak with and all showed us different tricks and tips on how to make the best knives. Our session ran over past their closing time but the whole team stayed and helped us, determined for us not to leave until our knives were perfect! "

Jacqueline North reviewed: Silver jewellery making class for beginners

"I'd highly recommend the one day beginner course with Jonathan for anyone that has an interest in jewellery making. There are a maximum of 4 participants which means that everyone has lots of opportunity to ask questions and get one-to-one help. I did the course with my 13 year old daughter and we both really enjoyed it as well as learnt a huge amount. Everyone was given their own work station and set of tools so there was no waiting around/queuing for equipment. In the morning Jonathan taught us a number of different techniques using copper. In the afternoon we were supported in creating silver jewellery from our own designs or from examples that Jonathan showed us. We both came away with some lovely pieces of jewellery and a new interest/hobby."

Libby reviewed: Beginner's Spinning in Newcastle

"I had a lovely day in Liverpool on the beginners spinning course. I learnt a great deal from Cathy and came home with a finished length of yarn. Her knowledge and teaching were great. Also I enjoyed the chat with other would-be spinners and I thought how, down the centuries, women must have chatted thus as they spun. A lovely day."

Jill reviewed: Roses and Castles Canal Art with Lyn Brookhouse

"Loved this course and what a fabulous ‘crafty’ location. The course was very informal and Lynda went at a pace suited to everyone and supported us all 1 on 1 as required. She was knowledgeable and approachable and passionate about Canal Art and its history. I could not believe that I was able to produce and take home a piece of art I was delighted with in just a few short hours with knowing nothing about the technique beforehand."

Crafty Diane Gift Shop, Art Gallery and Craft workshops responded:

"Thanks for the lovely review. You all did really well and I shall make sure Lynda sees your comments. Hope to see you again at some point. Diane x"
