SB reviewed: Bezel Set Seaglass Pendants one day workshop

"Lovely tutor and enjoyable course with a finished product to take home 😊 As it was a seaglass course some people brought their own seaglass pieces but were not able to use them due to being the wrong shape or too big for the silver available .. Would be good to know in advance if there are any recommended shapes /qualities needed for personal glass pieces to be suitable to use on the day. Not a complaint, just constructive feedback as I’m a novice so any guidance is helpful 😊spare glass pieces were available on the day too so that was good! Tutor was patient and helpful and very knowledgeable 😊thanks for a lovely experience "

Nottingham Jewellery School responded:

"Thanks for your lovely review, it was a pleasure to meet you and you made a superb piece of jewellery - well done!! Next time we list the class I will add measurements to the course listing images to make it clearer what the sizes of those pieces are. We do welcome people to bring their own sea glass but as every piece is unique we can't guarantee it's all suitable for the process and this is stated in the listing. We would love to see you in the workshop again soon, you made a really brilliant start with your jewellery making. "

Hilary reviewed: Full day introduction to glass fusing course.

"I attended the full day glass fusing workshop (Pink House Glass) and loved every minute, literally from the moment I walked in and was welcomed by a warm and friendly Amanda, up to the moment I reluctantly had to leave, 7 hours later! Amanda is a patient and inspirational teacher, full of enthusiasm for her craft, I had an amazing day chatting, laughing, learning and creating, a real therapy. I can't wait to pick up my creations in a couple of days time. The course really is a bargain for the price when you consider that you get to make two lovely good size pieces of glassware to take away, along with the hours of tuition and guidance that you get and not forgetting the lunch of course which was as great as everyone says it is. Thank you Amanda for an unforgettable and joyful experience and of course thanks to Russ who bought this workshop as a gift for me."

Pink House Glass responded:

"Thank you so much for your lovely review Hilary! I had such a wonderful day with you here in the studio, it makes me realise how fortunate I am to do what I do and just why I love teaching so much :) I can't wait to show you the beautiful pieces you've made. Amanda x"

"I booked the Fabulous Feltings Workshop as a birthday gift for my sister, and what a day we had in a beautiful Welsh country setting! Jane welcomed us to her Aladdin's cave of colour and materials where we experienced some creative magic turning wool & silk fibres into lovely feltings. Jane is an enthusiastic tutor who shared her skills, knowledge and materials generously. We greatly enjoyed our relaxed & fun day, and were delighted with our unique completed pieces. We would certainly recommend this workshop. Thank you very much, Jane. "

It was interesting to learn about the basics as well as creating our own pieces and seeing the wide range of possible applications by seeing Maria’s creations. Mireille Truong reviewed: Premium experience package dry stone walling for beginners

"A very inspiring course in which a team of beginners rebuilds from its foundations a section of wall fallen into disrepair. Carl explains clearly the principles of the wall's longevity, strength and beauty. Theory is always backed up by practice. Attention is paid to safety in handling heavy stones and great tips provided to move them. The days have pauses and Sharon provides tasty and healthy sustenance and friendliness and magic to the environment. Highly recommended! Lots of fun!"

"This was a really enjoyable course. The weekend was well-structured and well run. There was a good atmosphere throughout the weekend, it was friendly and relaxed, also the location is beautiful. Overall it was a great weekend and I came away feeling very upbeat and refreshed. "

Ruth Webster reviewed: The Beautiful Craft of Needle Felting - Hare

"What a great experience! I had a brilliant day felting a hare with Jenny- our amazing tutor. Jenny is extremely talented and very patient and helpful. The whole process was fun and relaxing, and we all had our own lovely felted hare to take home. We had a very warm welcome from Jude and his family and from our tutor Jenny. The surroundings were beautiful, and we were encouraged to wander in the beautiful garden. Hot and cold drinks, biscuits and cake were provided and nothing was too much trouble. The crafting barn was a really lovely space and all materials for the course were provided. There is even a clean and cozy airB&B on site right next door to the crafting barn- so no need to travel far to take part in the amazing courses this venue has to offer. I had the most amazing day 🤩, the time flew by, at the end of the course I was reluctant to leave- I just wanted to stay and felt into the night! I highly recommend this fabulous course in such a beautiful venue. It was worth every penny! šŸ˜Šā˜ŗļøYou definitely will not be disappointed."

The English Country House responded:

"Hi Ruth, I’m so glad you had such a wonderful day, it was a genuine pleasure to meet you and thank you for your lovely feedback! Stay in touch. 😊 Best wishes, Jude"

Christine Steele reviewed: Dichroic glass pendant and earrings

"What a great experience. Diane made us very welcome, and at ease as we had never done anything like this before. We were shown examples that we could take inspiration from, practicing on small pieces of plain glass before we used coloured. As the pieces have to be fired we won't see the results for a few days, when I will return to pick up the finished articles. I bought this experience for my friend and myself she was thrilled."

Crafty Diane Gift Shop, Art Gallery and Craft workshops responded:

"Thanks for the lovely review. I am so glad you both enjoyed yourselves and your pieces are fired but not made into finished pieces yet. X"

Pete reviewed: Stained glass weekly classes in Sheffield (South Yorkshire)

"I’ve returned to working with Martin on one of his stained glass courses and it’s as good as ever, if not better. The facilities are fantastic and his instruction is second to. none. I’ve enjoyed it so much I’ve booked on next term’s course. My wife has also booked on a one day course to make stained glass flowers. I’d recommended his courses to everybody but don’t all apply as I’ll find it difficult to book on myself"

Martin McAssey Glass responded:

"Thank you for the great review, see you in September."
