Georgie reviewed: Crochet for Beginners (Adults) in Putney

"I really enjoyed this class. Sowmya was very patient and encouraging. Initial frustration soon subsided and I was surprised but very pleased to have produced a granny square by the end of the session and feel confident to practise from here. I would definitely recommend Sowmya's class - it would have taken me ages to get this far just with a book or even an online tutorial."

Lisa Horstead reviewed: Crochet workshop - Benny Rens Creations

"Bethany is an excellent tutor. She's so creative and her beautiful makes are very inspiring. I had no idea about crochet before I met her, but now I have a good basic knowledge and look forward to doing some more classes with Bethany (especially the wreath class). Bethany is kind, very patient and gives good clear instructions..... And doesn't mind repeating herself ;o) Thank you Bethany!"

Katrina Wilson reviewed: Crochet workshop - Benny Rens Creations

"I learnt to crochet on Bethany's beginners crochet course - 3x 2-hour sessions saw me making granny squares and a rose. I'm not at all creative and my Mum failed to teach me how to crochet despite many attempts over the years. I'm now attempting other simple patterns on my own and I'm about to attempt a teddy bear! Would highly recommend. Will be booking another course soon."

Nat Truan reviewed: Crochet workshop - Benny Rens Creations

"Bethany is a brilliant teacher. She was well prepared and had lots of visual aids and well written instructions to complete a wreath. She provided all the equipment and thought of all the details- even down to the pins needed! Bethany was brilliant in showing me how to complete some of the stitches required. She is a lovely, bubbly and knowledgable lady that will make you feel welcome and nothing is too small for this lady- you won't be disappointed"

Angela Ruggles reviewed: Make fabulous felt - needle felting and wet felting techniques to make animals, bags, pictures...

"Toni happily included needle felting into a bespoke "playday" for me which also included polymer clay bead making and a very brief dabble with friendly plastic (much hilarity!). This was the third one to one session I have done with Toni and, as always, the day was friendly, fun and informative. Toni never scrimps on resources with so much to choose from and she is happy for you to use whatever you need / want. The class was very relaxed and I only stabbed myself a few times, coming away with something that vaguely resembled a cat - and armed with plenty of advice and tips (and more materials) to continue at home to perfect the poor creature (my artistic ability, not Toni's teaching - which was excellent as always)."

Angela Ruggles reviewed: Enamelled jewellery for beginners and improvers - fired glass jewellery techniques

"I attended a one to one session with Toni exploring enamelling techniques for the first time. Toni was happy to accommodate things that I wanted to try and was very calm and patient with explanations and demonstrations. Toni's knowledge of enamelling is extensive and she is happy to share that knowledge in order to help you go away and carry on with the craft yourself. A very enjoyable day."

Ken reviewed: Intermediary Glass fusing workshop with Laura Hart of Hart Glass

"Having had no experience of glass art, I found Laura's course very well worth the money. She introduces you to a number of techniques and certainly opens your eyes to the possibilities of design and the mixing of colours. So much so that you finish the introductory course with a sense of achievement and the desire to explore the art further. More than that, Laura is great company and a very capable tutor."

Ross Hayward reviewed: Whittling course

"Definitely worth going on this course. Very enjoyable and I learnt a lot of useful info about different knives, techniques and sharpening. Martin's an excellent teacher, clearly knows his stuff and happy to answer any questions you've got. The homemade lunch was great and Martin was kind enough to check if there was anything I didn't eat beforehand. All in all, a great day and highly recommended. Tip: if you do wear a jumper, make sure it's not one that absorbs wood chips!"

Stewart Lye reviewed: Introduction to Spoon Carving

"I attended a days course with Chris in July 2015. It was an excellent day of one to one tuition learning to carve a wooden spoon. Chris is very knowledgable and enthusiastic about wood, wood working and bush craft and that comes across in his teaching. During the day Chris patiently helped me carve a spoon, showing me the techniques and especially the safety aspects when working with sharp tools. Throughout the day tea and coffee were available along with a lovely ploughman's for lunch and tasty cake in the afternoon. Would thoroughly recommend the day as a complete novice. I learnt lots and gave me the knowledge to go it alone. Thank you."
