Anne Salisbury reviewed: Machine patchwork courses with Green Man Quilts

"I am in my second (or possibly third) year of evening classes with Sheena. She is an amazing teacher who manages to have work rounds for my many mistakes. Her projects each term have improved my skill levels as each one is different. If you are a total novice but like the idea of quilting, Sheena's courses are just for you. I would highly recommend."

Matt Frederick reviewed: Learn to carve wooden spoons, beginners and improvers

"I attended Dave's spoon carving course at the wonderful surrounds of Days Cottage. The course was superb, perfectly balanced for the skills of the group yet allowing everyone the chance to work at their own pace. Dave's manner of teaching is highly informative and yet presented in a relaxed manner that encourages you to ask questions and engage with the group. I highly recommend Dave's courses, just beware, you'll be eying every tree as a potential spoon!"

"Booked this course as a birthday present for my son. Beware you may become addicted. He couldn't praise the day enough, in fact, it was hard to tear him away and he was very happy with his hook and poker. I am sure another course will be on his Christmas list as he has already been pricing up forges!"

Kate Sutton reviewed: One-to-one mount cutting for your next exhibition

"I spent a fantastic day with Lynne at Rum's Egg in Romsey learning how to mount and display my textile art work. She gave very clear instructions and went through the process with us individually after the demonstration. I am thrilled to be able to make professional looking mounts for my work and the textiles look so much better than they did at the start of the day. I have bought most of the tools now and can't wait to put my new skills to good use."

Ralph Nathan reviewed: Woodturning workshops - one day

"I spent a day with Steve on his one day course. I'm a novice and really enjoyed Steve's informal but practical and informative approach to teaching the foundations of woodturning. He is a talented tutor drawing on expertise from his initial hobby days to his accomplished professional years. His workshop is an Aladdin's cave of completed and experimental work, not to mention a tool or bespoke jig for every job! Thanks for an excellent day and good company."

She supplied everything, explained what to do clearly and didn't interfere but was always on hand to help. The session was well timed and not rushed. We were supported to make our own unique fairy houses and had a lot of fun doing it."

Sara Schofield reviewed: Two-day Silkscreen Printing Course: Design and Print Your Own Fabric £170.00

"I have just spent two wonderful days with Caroline where she somehow managed to find in me an artistic talent I never knew I had! Her teaching skills gave me the confidence to "have a go" and by the end of the course I felt such a sense of achievement in having created a fabric of my own design. In addition to the designing and printing, I enjoyed two amazing vegetarian lunches, prepared by Caroline's husband Iain, served up in their lovely home. I definitely hope to return one day to refine my new found skills."
