We learnt many techniques for our first venture into leather work. Rosanna gave us lots of advice and information on suppliers and equipment to enable us to have a go at home. Thanks Rosanna for such a lovely day!"

Rebekkah reviewed: Beginners 2 sterling silver stacking rings jewellery course

"My boyfriend booked the stacking ring course for me with Sarah as a birthday surprise. I can’t quite put into words how much I enjoyed this experience! Sarah was incredibly welcoming and obviously had a lot of knowledge and talent in what she does. She taught me the basics of ring making and explained every step of the process with such patience. Sarah has inspired me to go on a buy some of my own tools to give it another go! I would thoroughly recommend this course and could not have had a better teacher! Thank you so much Sarah for making my birthday present so special :)"

Alasdair Morton reviewed: Joinery for Furniture Making Evening Class in London

"Tom is a patient and passionate teacher who approaches his work with real enthusiasm and insight. His teaching style is informal and entertaining, but when it comes to conveying the important points I found him to be very clear and thoughtful in how he explained things. The course focuses on the key skills and techniques that will form the foundation of any piece of work that you might undertake, using a few different short projects as a means of teaching all the key skills such as marking, cutting and chiseling by hand, and the use of various machines and jigs. For those who wanted more detail, he was always happy to answer questions and explain things beyond what we were working on that day, and his knowledge of wood, techniques and tools seems bottomless! Tom was always encouraging when things maybe didn't go quite as planned, and as the class was so small it meant he could always be on hand to help with people on an individual basis when they needed a hand. There was also generally a supply of biscuits on hand to keep you going!"

Julie reviewed: Beginner's Candle Making Private Workshop - Marlow, Buckinghamshire

"I attended a workshop run by Sarah with two family members. Sarah was fantastic and a wealth of knowledge! She taught and guided us to make the most beautiful array of candles to take home with hints and tips and workshop notes and photos should we forget any details. She was a brilliant host and we were so comfortable and well looked after that I don't know where the time went! I can totally recommend buying a starter kit from Sarah either for yourself or as a gift for someone who has attended the course. It is great value for money and packed with so many things to get you started at home including Sarah's book which is full of ideas with clear instructions. After this workshop I can’t wait to start experimenting with candle making at home. Thank you Sarah!"

Simon reviewed: Woodturning courses in Hampshire - Beginners and improvers wood turning courses - Turn British, all British lathes!!

"I’ve just spent a most enjoyable 3 days learning how to turn wood. Andy is hugely experienced and is an expert teacher who sets a perfect balance of demonstration and supervision. I can’t believe how fast the hours swept by and how completely immersed I was in this magical craft. The other thing that left me awestruck was the workshop and the tools. Andy’s lathes are simply the best! And he has every tool you ever need – all of which are first class and exceptionally well maintained. I wholeheartedly recommend Andy to all potential and practising wood turners. I will be returning to learn how to make a turned box."

John Poulson reviewed: Learn to carve wooden spoons, beginners and improvers

"Really useful and informative course from Dave, I learnt so much in such a short time, excellent knowledge of the subject. Although I have done a very small amount of carving previously, Dave helped me so much with technique, position, knife grips and how to actually enjoy the process, really was a fantastic day. Second only to Dave's excellent teaching was the superb flapjack, I can now confess in having had at least five pieces, sorry Dave its just too good, ; )) Many thanks again for a very informative course, can't recommend Dave and his knowledge highly enough!"

Clay Animal Weekend reviewed: Creating ceramic animals courses - with James Ort & Alison Pink

"Book it, book it, book it! You won't be disappointed. You will forget everything outside the studio and be totally immersed in learning new techniques and sculpting. I sculpt regularly anyway, but you never know it all. You can always learn new things and still be inspired. It's very refreshing to learn from a different angle and James and Alison are brilliant at what they do. It's also lovely to chat to others on the course and watch their creations come alive. If you fancy treating yourself or even someone else, just book a course. You will definitely have fun and enjoy yourselves."
