Suzanna reviewed: 'Art of Stained Glass' - Oldbury, Birmingham

"A highly recommended workshop for those interested in learning about the process of stained glass making. Jamal provided a brilliant one-day workshop for two of us, during which he clearly explained and demonstrated the steps for producing a piece of stained glass art. Furthermore, it was very enjoyable for us to try new practical skills like glass cutting and soldering. We were very pleased with our final pieces. Thank you!"

Amanda Norris reviewed: Needle felt your dog with Crafty Gal

"An incredible day, learning something new and meeting like-minded crafty people. Denise was a fabulous tutor and was able to guide us through making our creations in such a relaxed, laid-back but busy manner. I loved the fact that all of our creations had their own personalities. The lunch was delicious, as was the constant top up of coffee, cakes and elderflower water. Thank you so much Denise, I have learnt so much and look forward to making more. I would recommend this course to anyone, without hesitation x"

Hilda Tattersall reviewed: Christmas Pudding - needle felting workshop with The Lady Moth

"This was my first attempt at needle felting. I have done a tiny amount of wet felting previously. I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon making a duckling. Zenia is a very patient and creative teacher. My duckling now takes price of place on a glass shelf in my kitchen - there is space on that shelf for the items I hope to make with Zenia in the future."

"Thank you!"

Rachel Read reviewed: Crafts in the Valley - Felted Pictures Workshop in Cragg Vale, Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire

"Having never done a craft course or worked with felt before i did a day course with crafts in the Valley rather hesitantly. Melanie put me completely at ease and i overcame any shyness or self doubts really quickly. Mel is a fantastic, warm, engaging and friendly teacher. I felt completely included and at ease with the other women in the group. I enjoyed felting and found myself inspired and absorbed in the work. I am really proud of the piece i made and got a lot out of the whole day. I felt looked after and nurtured, I learnt a lot, met nice people, ate good food and laughed. My felted picture is now in a frame at home and i am happy to think i made it :) I wouldn't hesitate to go on another course and would completely recommend to anyone considering trying it."

"A brilliant course that i would recommend to any budding upholsterer or furniture upcycler. Steph is a brilliant teacher and provides everything you need to produce your own unique chair. A constant supply of tea and cake plus a lovely fish and chip lunch keeps you going but the day goes so fast and before you know it you've finished!"

E J reviewed: Pottery Slow Down One day Pottery handbuilding and throwing

"Really enjoyed a 2-day course with Jo & Sophie - they're lovely, talented and very patient. Great to have a wheel each and to create some unique pots. I would recommend that anyone who goes on the 2-day course does try to finish their thrown pots on the first day (even if you stay a bit longer that day), as otherwise they won't be ready for trimming etc. Penny's lunch was lovely too - didn't expect 3 courses! Remember that it will take around 8 weeks til you pick up your finished pots. May be back at some point for another course!"

Lynne reviewed: Table Loom Weaving Workshop - Dobby & Rose

"What a lovely way to spend a few hours. Rebecca made the process so easy to follow - before I knew it I was weaving a tartan style piece of woollen cloth. She demystified the loom (a fearful looking engine) and answered all my questions thoroughly. A really helpful introduction to weaving with a table loom. Highly recommended."

Ruth Carthew reviewed: Fused glass workshops in Cornwall

"I had a really lovely day on the glass course, helped by the beautiful setting by the river on a warm and sunny day. Wendy was patient and thoughtful, giving guidance as required after each demonstration. I was given the extra time required to finish my piece for which I was most grateful. I would certainly recommend this day course to anyone as I had such an enjoyable time, learnt lots about fusing and it was affordable and good value for money. I am really looking forward to seeing my finished piece once it has been in the kiln. Thank you Wendy."

Christina reviewed: Furniture Painting Workshop in the Cotswolds

"I did this workshop with my husband, and both of us being complete beginners and not very artistically creative we just wanted to have a nice day together and thought we'd try out something new. Amazingly under the guidance of Chris and Celia we each transformed a bedside table and were extremely proud of what we achieved. Maybe we are creative after all! Now that we have some skills, some confidence and a couple of mentors in Celia and Chris, we are planning many more projects. I definitely recommend this course whether you are a total novice or looking to start a furniture business. We had a really enjoyable day and loved getting to know Chris and Celia too. Thanks very much!"

"I did the silver earrings half day course. We were shown lots of techniques and got to practice on aluminium before deciding on what silver earrings to make. Felt really relaxed and was really pleased with my earrings. Can't believe we got through so much in a morning without feeling rushed! Would definitely recommend this as a treat or gift and an intro to jewellery making."
