Jessica B. reviewed: Make a silver ring or bangle

"My mum desperately wanted to learn how to work with silver to go with her already stunning glass beadwork and I saw a great opportunity in a day's tuition for a birthday present for her and some creative time for me. We had a lovely day choosing leaves from Lucy's stunning garden and learning the basics of working with silver to create beautiful silver necklaces. She provided wonderful personal tuition and helped mum understand how this would fit in with the glass giving her extra time and attention to help her start off. A great birthday present and I had a lovely day and gained a pretty leaf pendant. Highly recommended."

Gilly Skeemer reviewed: Introduction to fused glass (1 day) in Sheffield, South Yorkshire

"Attended this course with my husband hoping to get him to explore and get involved in my love of all glass crafts and especially the art of fusing glass. My objectives were met. We both thoroughly enjoyed the day, learned a lot and had fun doing so. The only downside was that the day flew. Well done Martin for presenting this opportunity and creating a brilliant course. The atmosphere was relaxed and we came away very happy. The pieces we made all turned out well. We are using the coasters already."

Nicola Knott reviewed: Learn to Turn in the Dartmoor National Park

"We had a lovely day with Chris in his Ashburton workshop. As complete novices he put us at our ease and he is an excellent tutor. We were very proud of the bowls we made and had a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. Lots of tea and biscuits and we found Chris easy to talk to. Definately something I would like to learn more about."

Denise reviewed: Table Loom Weaving Workshop - Dobby & Rose

"This course was fantastic and gave me the basics of weaving. I had never woven twill before! Rebecca was very clear in her explanations and gave notes at the end which covered all we had achieved. She demystified the weaving charts so we could follow a pattern. I'm going back next month to learn more. She is an excellent, patient teacher. Thank you Rebecca"

Jennie Russell reviewed: Needle felting workshops taught live online by Heartfelt by Heidi

"I had the most enjoyable and creative time. Heidi was friendly and welcoming, giving clear instructions ( and little tips) on how to make our hare. She gave us advice on the types of wool and needles you can use when felting. I loved meeting the other girls on the workshop and our supply of tea and cakes from Heidi was delicious. I found the morning relaxing and was rewarded with a super little hare with his own character at the end. Made by my own fair hands (considering I had never felted before). Definitely come away wanting to continue felting as a hobby. Loved the morning. Thanks Heidi, see you soon!"

Heartfelt by Heidi responded:

"Thank you so much for your wonderful review Jennie, I am so glad you enjoyed it so much. I love teaching people Needle Felting, as it brings so much reward and satisfaction, both for me and my workshop attendees. It's amazing what you can achieve with a little guidance and patience and seeing your creation suddenly seeming to come to life and take on a character of it's own. I am so pleased that you wish to continue felting and loved it so much that you booked on another course there and then, what a lovely compliment. I look forward to seeing you again in September for the mermaid workshop, tea, cake and giggles. Heartfelt thanks Heidi x"

Hermann A. Helbig reviewed: Make a spindle-back chair

"After a week on the job again and in the quiet of the weekend after this great course in Fushiebridge comes back to my mind. The chair I could build with Peters specialized assistance for my wife, we both like very much. Even more I enjoyed being with Peter and the other participants and having this time with them, the talks about green woodworking and the senses of working with nature as a companion. In that way Peter have shown us how to build a chair in the open air and with simple tools, how every step became obvious, everyone will be able to do it. I'm glad I was there. Diane Sewell reviewed: Learn to sew - zipped and lined bags - Worcestershire

"Simply all it should be. Lovely location, easy access from motorway, small group, very clear instruction from Julie at a pace which suited all, one stage at a time. Judi had time to assist everyone when they needed it. She is a very good tutor. We finished 2 zip bags on the day, most other workshops I've gone to need the work to be finished as home. I will definitely keep an eye out for more workshops."

Sew Make it responded:

"Thank you Di, it was lovely to meet you and Chrissie, your bags were amazing! look forward to seeing you again soon :)"

Andy Hedges reviewed: Blacksmithing Introduction courses in Yorkshire and the North East

"I did the introductory 1 day course and thought it was excellent. A well equipped workshop and your own anvil to work at. Instruction was thorough yet concise, meaning you could get stuck in to trying your hand at forging in a very short space of time. The food by Debbie was excellent and abundant - the cheesecake was a particular favourite. Adrian and Andy are very willing and able to answer any questions you have. I have already recommended the course to a friend and would consider doing a further course myself when I get the time."

Beckii Cocking reviewed: One day bangle/ring workshop

"I booked this bangle making workshop for my mum's 60th birthday . She didnt know anything about it until Jolene explained what we would be doing/making. From the moment we arrived in the pouring rain Jolene made us feel at homewith a cup of tea. She then showed us how to make a bangle. We both made 2 copper bangles and a silver one, and as an extra we both made a silver ring . Jolene is the most patient amazing teacher allowed us to get on with it and helped when needed. I would most definitely recomand this couse. PS the brownies were amazing, out if this world. X x"

Diana Williams reviewed: Make a silver ring or bangle

"My two day visit was spent producing a reticulated piece of silver with two disks to be attached onto a pendant. My design was very basic and my numerous attempts at soldering taught me a valuable lesson that the construction within the initial design is very important. The garden was in full bloom and Lucy is extremely knowledgeable as regards nature. A very inspiring and relaxing spot with the birds chirping. Not only have I gleaned more information as regards jewellery making but also various bird calls and plant names. Thank you so much. I look forward to my next visit."

Cheryl McKeon Slater reviewed: Felted art or 3d bear or hare with 2 Inspire You

"My Mum and I had a fabulous day with Rachel and Rhian - our first attempt at needlefelting. It was totally absorbing and we produced two super hares - way beyond what we thought would be possible as beginners. Both Rachel and Rhian are lovely, warm and friendly - and great teachers with lots of patience and tips on developing skills. The course was amazing value and the Community Hall in Gorseinon is a really good venue - a nice light space with all the facilities you need - including free parking. I can't recommend the course highly enough and look forward to signing up on another course soon. Hasta la vista Rachel & Rhian - we'll be back!"

2 Inspire You responded:

"Thank you so much Cheryl! It was a pleasure to meet both you and your mum. You both worked hard on the day and deserved the hares you had at the end of the day. It is good to be able to laugh and share with each other throughout the day. Thank you for the amazing photos you took as well. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Rach x"

Elizabeth Harper reviewed: 1-day patchwork & quilting workshops in Watford with Green Man Quilts

"I booked the “free motion quilting day” as this was an area that I wanted to develop. The class was small which allowed us to have one to one tuition when r required. The day was enjoyable and being able to discuss things with other students was very helpful. Sheena had a relaxed way of teaching which made me feel that I could ask questions freely. All in all a very good day and I came home wanting to practice and move forward with this skill . I have booked another day with Sheena on Jelly Roll Quilts"
