Alison reviewed: Weave a scarf in a day - handloom weaving

"I could not fault the day. The scarf at the end was obviously the result of the day but the whole day's tutoring and learning about the looms was excellent. I would recommend Anne to anyone interested. Thank you for a wonderful day."

Fleur Atkinson reviewed: Collagraph Printmaking with Megan Evans + self catered accommodation

"Megan is really lovely and, for someone who is pretty useless, creatively, she totally put me at ease and was very patient! I was a total beginner and didn't know what to expect and Megan explained everything excellently and she has a lovely, warm personality. I'd recommend her collagraph printmaking course to anyone who wants to do something different, relaxing and creative, no matter what your age or experience. Thank you, Megan!"

Heather reviewed: Kate Morrell willow sculpture courses

"What a great day! Welcomed by Kate and David in to their lovely home. Great tuition from Kate and fabulous lunch from David. The relaxed atmosphere and friendly banter added to the experience. We all left with our fabulous woven sculptures and I am the proud owner of an Indian running duck now named Gerald. Kate is a very talented artist, and willow sculptress and examples of her work are just fabulous. Thank you both for a great day and kate especially your patience. I will be back again I’m sure."

Edna Leys reviewed: Needle Felting Workshop Owl Brooch

"I had a great time making a pebble picture. There was lots of choice in pebbles and embellishments. I particularly liked the display of finished pictures which made it easier to choose what I was going to do. Throughout we were offered refreshments and advice on how to get the most out of our pictures. I would recommend this course to anybody particularly if they want to make a personalised gift for a friend or relative. As a bonus we got to have a go at making a stone picture using acrylic paints. I will be back"

Nicola reviewed: Tambour beading: a haute couture technique

"I had such a great time at todays course. Although i had done a small amount of tambour (learning from a book!), Audrey was able to guide me, and correct my technique. I really got a lot out of the beginners course. Audrey is very patient, and warm and friendly too! It was a small friendly group, we were able to learn at our own pace, and due to the small group, we received plenty of one 2 one tuition. I can’t wait to practice and move on to the next course offered."

Tambour and Clutch responded:

"Nicola you were an amazing student and a pleasure to teach. As a left handed student you learnt how to correct your technique, learned from a book for right handed students, enabling you to tambour bead with accuracy and speed. Look forward to seeing you later in the year for the advanced workshop. Audrey"

Kim Liggins reviewed: Oak stool making experience - rustic carpentry & green wood work

"I have just spent the most fabulous day making my oak stool. Ian is the perfect tutor who shows you what to do then lets you do it. He is very gentle in his approach and not rushed, letting you take the time you need to complete each part of the process. He is very encouraging and helpful when you get stuck or as in my case need more muscle. I would highly recommend this course for its therapeutic effects as much as for the finished product. I had no woodworking skills before the course but I have learnt so much. Very rewarding, thank you Ian."

Susan Holden reviewed: Needle felting - woodland creature or bird, or other small animal: (beginners+)

"Had a wonderful time on this day course. Was a complete beginner and despite being an enthusiastic amateur where brain/eye/hand co-ordination is practically non-existent, I came away with a completed woodland animal that looked close to what it should look like! Sally was extremely encouraging and was able to put me right without me being aware of it. We were able to work at our own pace amongst a small friendly group of like-minded people and the time just whizzed by. Got the bug and will be back for more!"

"I really enjoyed this course. Dunja was an excellent teacher who made sure that we were all progressing and that we understood what we were doing. Her explanations were very clear, and she really gave me confidence to make a beautiful scarf by the end of the day. The setting is absolutely beautiful, and the classroom itself is cosy and inspiring, with lots of different examples of weaving and spinning around the room. I would highly recommend this course."
