"I loved the workshop, it was very good to have a project to work on. The activities were very good, working thoroughly through each part of the painting. Instruction was excellent, very detailed with plenty of supervision and encouragement. Environment was very relaxed and friendly. I learned to take my time and have patience. Practised brush strokes, learned about how to use different types of brushes, the unpredictability of watercolour and how to try and stay in control. Learned how to mix colours. "

"Thank you Jamal for providing such a wonderful experience. We really enjoyed listening to your own career development. You have an amazing talent and we are not surprised that you have been involved in such huge projects. As a teacher you were calm, kind and supportive. We are both thrilled with our panels. Mike C. reviewed: Blacksmithing Course (one to one) in a traditional forge on Dartmoor

"Thanks Greg for a great day learning some of the forging techniques. I have spent my entire life in Devon, growing up in a rural setting where there was a blacksmith still operating. As lads in the village we spent some time there in the warmth of the forge. So was great to actually get some hands on experience with an enthusiastic teacher. I came away with a poker and of course the hook, that is the hanging variety not the chopping kind. Cheers Greg."

Moreton Forge responded:

"Hello Mike, Thank you for the review."

Lulu reviewed: Create with a gel printing plate in Derbyshire

"Had a fabulous day learning how to Gel print with Liz., who was incredibly patient with us all. We had a super productive day creating prints from our gel plates, learning various techniques, using lots of household objects to print with and foliage from the garden. Who knew that bubble wrap could look so pretty - would highly recommend this course "

Liz Wellby - Artist, Teacher & Maker responded:

"Hi Lulu, Good to hear from you and thank you so much for your kind words. It was great working with you, seeing your enthusiasm for the process developing, as you explored the different ideas and techniques. In the first instances it’s such a lovely, intuitive process, but with further time, you’ll start to bend the processes to your will and be more selective with marks, patterns and colour. It’s also a great process to see you through the dark, damp Winter days. Best wishes and happy printing. Liz Wellby"

Lynne Koker reviewed: Glass Fusing and enamel painting on glass

"I wanted a relaxing day making something to celebrate my birthday. I had no experience and about the same amount of ability. Jane came up with some ideas for a project which we developed together. Having shown me the basic techniques, she left me to practice, but was close at hand when I lost the knack. As I progressed she came up with other techniques to use. Supportive, but not taking over - a great balance. I got a generous lunch and drinks through the day. I very enjoyable experience. "

Sara Brown reviewed: Spoon carving at Walderchain Wood, Canterbury

"My husband booked this class as a surprise anniversary gift and we both had the most incredible day. I loved it SO much and would love to do more course with Mark and in this location. The class was just the right size to get to know everyone and to get plenty of help from Mark if we needed it. We went through the process step by step and had plenty of time to practice before chopping into the wood for our spoons. I loved that it was a whole day activity that included a home cooked delicious lunch ate around the table together and a lovely walk through the woodland. I left with an item I’ll treasure and new skills that I have continued with since. "

Walderchain Wood responded:

"Sara Thank you for your review of the class. Glad your both enjoyed your day here. All the best Mark"
