Liz Curtis reviewed: Introduction to Lino Printing in Cambridgeshire

"Great workshop, loved that I actually produced some artwork! Judith is a lovely tutor, explains things really well. My only complaint was the whole place although really super was freezing! But that’s my only moan. All in all a lovely day with my sister. "

"Thank you Liz, it really was a pleasure to help you and your sister create your lovely lino prints. I have passed on you feedback to the venue I hire for the workshops, it was very disappointing it was so chilly that day and I appreciate your positive comments despite your discomfort. I hope you continue printing! "

Pat Codd reviewed: Women's Woodwork Workshop

"I thoroughly enjoyed this course. I have always felt slightly robbed, I attended a girls grammar school in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. We were channelled into needlework and cookery, not woodwork! This course popped up and I thought it looked exactly what I’d been looking for. I was not disappointed, it was informative, educational, hands on and great fun. Jess is very patient and constructive with her advice and has a good sense of humour, too. A great day and I am glad I attended. Thanks, Jess and thanks to the other ladies for friendly support. I’ll be back, by the way I can cook but am still useless at anything to do with a sewing needle. 😀"

Glanmedeni Ltd responded:

"It was lovely to meet you Pat. Thank you for the lovely review and look forward to seeing you again soon. x"

Irene reviewed: Flower Patch Hand Embroidery Workshop with Rachel Davies

"I was intrigued by the union of painting and embroidery so I booked onto this workshop. Rachel's own practice evidences her expertise and amazing skills and, importantly for a workshop, Rachel is able to teach gently to novices and keenly to experienced participants. On arrival, my workstation was set out with all that I would need. I was welcomed with coffee and smiles and refreshments were available throughout the workshop, (cake to die for!). There were abundant resources and appropriate equipment. Rachel demonstrated techniques clearly, paced her teaching well and supporting everyone's individual, creative responses. I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop; learning new skills and chatting to participants with similar interests. The day flew by! I now have a lovely painted and stitched patch to frame or applique to a garment or bag. I have signed up for two more of Rachel's courses. Rachel has a superb creative gift that she can share with patience, clarity, genuine encouragement and joy. Thank you so much Rachel and all the participants who were so friendly. "

Rachel Davies Studio responded:

"Irene, hello , and thankyou so much for your lovely review. It does mean an awful lot , and I really do want everyone to feel welcomed, relaxed and always feel comfortable to work at their own pace. Im really glad you enjoyed it so much, your piece is so successful. I look forward to seeing you again, very best wishes, Rachel"

Emma wallace reviewed: Embossed aluminium bauble

"We did this course as part of our 10year (tin) wedding anniversary celebrations. We absolutely loved it and gained a real appreciation of the time and effort that goes into the hand crafted items you see at craft fairs and online business. Mel was very calm and patient and checked our progress regularly to make sure we were doing it right and going to get the right result. We love the baubles we produced and will treasure them forever. Thanks!"

Lindsay Atkins reviewed: Glass Fusing Flowers and Under Sea Taster Session

"We had a great glass fusing session with Ruth and Andrew at Kalypso glass. On arrival we were made very welcome with refreshments and then Andrew gave a clear demonstration on how to construct our first piece. The glass components were already prepared in advance so we were able to dive straight into creating our first piece. In total we made 4 pieces in a couple of hours which was great fun and great value. Ruth also gave a quick demonstration on the glass beads she was making which was very technical but fascinating watching the glass form under flame. Will definitely be back in the future to create the Christmas scenes and have a go at making some glass beads Thank you for a friendly, personal and fun session for myself and Jane. "

Kalypso Glass responded:

"Thank you Lindsay, glad to hear you enjoyed your time with us, you made some great pieces too."
