Phil Bibbings reviewed: One day stained glass classes by Le Breton Traditional

"I was delighted that for Christmas 2018 I received a Craft voucher. I had wanted to make a stained glass feature of my bathroom door since moving into our Victorian house 2 years ago. I was drawn to Matt's workshop as he is keen to work with you on your chosen project and he doesn't have a generic set approach to a predetermined piece. At my first workshop in February I just wanted to put all my ideas into one A4 sized piece. Matt has great ideas for colour and light which were entirely in keeping with my project. I was amazed at the really beautiful outcome. So with a birthday in April you can guess what was on the top of my list. I couldn't get down to Devon until a few weeks ago but with several emails between myself and Matt discussing ideas, planning and solution's I came to my second workshop. On the day itself Matt had made the effort to source the glass I needed and under his skilled guidance I was able to produce a really stunning piece which I am very proud of. I am showing pictures to everyone I meet and am well and truly hooked on this amazing Art Form. I'm already planning the next two panels. Thanks again Matt for making my day and providing such a friendly and informative workshop."

Julie Watt reviewed: Private or private group silver jewellery making/silversmithing workshop day at Silver Designed Personally

"A wonderful, fun day designing and making leaf earrings. Sara is really friendly and instantly made me feel at ease. All the different steps and processes were clearly explained which meant that I felt confident in my design (am not arty!!) and in using the various pieces of equipment. I came away having learnt a lot, having had a great experience and with a pair of earrings that I am really proud of. I would definitely recommend Sara's workshop days."

Silver Designed Personally responded:

"Julie, thank you so much, you were a model student too! and as I said on the day .... the best piecing saw skills I have seen in a beginner :-). I had a great time working with you and seeing the results of your work. Sara"

Francesca Baker reviewed: Creative Vibe - Glassblowing Sessions

"I booked this course as a gift for my husband. I thought it would be fun but I wasn’t expecting to do much. I was so wrong. It was fun (I was right about that) but by the end of it we felt like experts. Each piece we made taught us a new skill so we weren’t just blowing a piece of glass that had been prepared for us but doing everything. I went with the intention of having a few glass objects to give to our families. They are never getting them, they are mine to keep and treasure. Thank you."

Georgia reviewed: Mexican Offrenda

"What a lovely day we had! The setting is beautiful, located in among the hills of Kentmere. The Cowshed is a lovely creative space with a roaring log burner and plenty of space to work. The food was delicious and plentiful - soup and lots of cake, with gluten-free requirements well-catered for - thank you! The creating element was clearly explained by Kay and well-supported at every stage. Everyone was able to achieve success regardless of their ability. Resources were plentiful and enabled everyone to create something that was very much their own. I am really pleased with my Offrenda and felt a real sense of achievement as I am not confident in my artistic abilities at all. Thanks to Kay for a lovely relaxing and yet productive day, and to George for being a great host. I look forward to coming back and maybe staying in your lovely pods too! I can thoroughly recommend the whole experience. Georgia"

Susan reviewed: Mexican Offrenda

"A wonderful colourful day! Cowshed Creative was easy to find and beautifully nestled in the fells, the barn was welcoming with a huge roaring log fire and lots of inspiration already laid out for us. Kay was a warm-hearted, fun, clear teacher - dressed like Frida Kahlo! - who had lots of ideas and practical suggestions when my piece got a little more complicated than the brief. The atmosphere around the table was open and friendly, we all got to know each other a little whilst exercising our creative muscles and making - chatting and making, what a good combo! And with homemade food - seemed like a kaleidoscope of different breads, choice of soups (OK we tried them all!) desserts and cake. A lovely touch was a 'chillout zone' by the fire with inspirational books if you needed a break. In short I thoroughly enjoyed my day and am terribly proud and excited by the piece I made... definitely recommend. Thank you Kay and Cowshed Creative."

Sue Tay reviewed: Needle Felting Workshop - landscape pictures

"I attended Pip’s workshop with a friend, as complete novices to needle felt. Pip was superbly organised, encouraging and a great teacher. We accomplished lots; two finished pictures, (moorland and coastal) without feeling rushed- coffee and yummy break included! I would have no hesitation in recommending this workshop. It felt like a catch up with an old friend in her warm kitchen. I’m eager to try more needle felting. What a fabulous morning!"

Denise Elliott reviewed: A complete introduction to felt-making

"What a lovely day I had at Hilary's house learning to felt. Not too many students, four on this occasion, which means not waiting for help. It was relaxed and friendly. Hilary is a great teacher and we managed to achieve far more than I expected. I came away buzzing with ideas. I loved it that she gave us some materials to take away so we could carry on at home before we managed to get some supplies in :-) I thought that was generous and thoughtful."

Louisa Bain reviewed: Felt picture making workshop in Rugby!

"I have been on two of Karen's courses now. She is very knowledgeable about her subject and able to explain the process very well. Karen takes care to support, encourage and teach whilst still allowing participants to be creative. There are plenty of materials to choose from and the course is well designed with plenty to do but it is still very relaxing. On both of the courses I have attended all the participants were hugely enthusiastic, very friendly and keen to share ideas. It is a wonderful way to spend a relaxing Saturday morning and you will come away inspired."

Karen Wyeth Contemporary Felt Artist responded:

"Thank you so much for your kind review Louisa, it is much appreciated! Do let me see a photo of your finished flower picture once you've done some stitching!"

"Two wonderful days in Fiona's Studio dyeing wool, cotton and fleece with weld and oak (both picked fresh from her garden!), goldenrod, madder, logwood and more. Diana van Delzen reviewed: ‘Winter dream ' wool painting face-to-face textile art course in Worcestershire

"Two days ago I joined Raya and other participants for my first wool painting. It was a very nice introduction to working with wool fibres in this way and it quickly became an absorbing and relaxing craft. Raya is a very knowledgeable and talented tutor/artist and gave good, clear demonstrations which inspired confidence in making a lovely wool picture of our own choice. Raya also supplied a choice of picture frames. During the course Raya's hospitality provided us with delicious cakes and hot drinks and made the whole experience a pleasure and left me with plenty of creative ideas! I hope to join again for another wool painting workshop. Can thoroughly recommend it!"

Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio responded:

"Dear Diana, It was a pleasure meeting you and teaching you! I am so pleased that you enjoyed the workshop and feeling inspired to do more wool paintings! Thank you very much for your review. I look forward to seeing you again at Magic Wool Art and Craft Studio for more wool painting workshops. Kind regards. Raya"

Leyanne McNeice reviewed: 8-Week Pottery Throwing Course - Hampshire

"What a fantastic course. The studio has an amazing atmosphere and Jack's patience and teaching were above and beyond. The class was small, enabling us all to have one to one tuition when needed and I was thrilled with my finished pieces. The only downside was that the weeks went by too quickly. I looked forward to each lesson and would highly recommend it."
