Sam reviewed: Silver jewellery workshop for beginners with Jude Karnon

"The perfect experience. From the first communication to leaving her home, Jude made this a beautiful experience. I was nervous my designs were to difficult to achieve, she made it so easy to follow her instructions and supported me, fully enabling me to achieve my chosen piece to an amateur's perfection. Jude was funny and open-hearted putting me at ease throughout the whole process. Topped by a great gluten free lunch. Worth the money and some! Thank you Jude. Brilliant!"

Jude Karnon Jewellery responded:

"Sam, thank you so much for a lovely review. You were a talented and enthusiastic student and made such wonderful items. The necklace was inspired and well done for working on such a detailed piece. The end result was beautiful. It was also wonderful to spend the day with such a funny person! Loved all the laughs. Jude x"

Oak stool making reviewed: Oak stool making experience - rustic carpentry & green wood work

"We had an outstanding day with Ian making an oak stool yesterday. Following a stroke my husband is unable to move his right arm and can struggle in company with his speech. We met with Ian a couple of months ago to discuss the possibilities. By the time we arrived yesterday Ian had everything in place to make this a perfect day, even designing new tools with friend Henry to ensure Rob could make a stool under his own steam and independently (apart from a small amount of axe work!). As we relaxed in such good company both the stool and easy conversation grew. My husband has a beautiful stool he crafted himself and enjoyed an experience that was truly accessible. Thank you Ian for going that extra mile!"

Avril Bishop reviewed: Drawing from life with Jake Spicer

"The Phoenix Studio is a super, well equipped, light and very friendly location and Jake Spicer was absolutely excellent, a relaxed, knowledgeable and outstanding teacher. I cannot recommend both highly enough. Model Katie was very professional and friendly, the best model I have observed. She struck really interesting poses. This course was a Christmas present to me and it exceeded my expectations. I will be back and don't hesitate to give it 5* and highly recommended."

Ailsa Medd reviewed: Precious metal clay jewellery

"All together, I would highly recommend this course. It is suitable for complete novices as well as those with some experience. Rosemary's teaching was informative and well structured; it didn't overwhelm or intimidate but was very helpful. I liked the way techniques were explained in stages, with opportunities to try new skills. The work areas were also spacious and thoughtfully organised for each person. The whole atmosphere was welcoming and friendly and everyone came away with a finished product that they were pleased with. The refreshments were also a nice touch! I would highly recommend this course."

Micklems Farm Creative Workshops responded:

"Thank you for your comments Ailsa."

Sue reviewed: Solid silver precious metal clay jewellery making courses

"Having never made jewellery before I was a bit nervous but that didn’t last long! Hannah’s passion and love for jewellery making immediately put me at ease. We had such a giggle and I came away with a necklace that I still can’t believe I made! I only went on the course two weeks ago and I’ve already made a pair of earrings (after a quick email to Hannah to check I was doing it right) to match my necklace. Can’t recommend highly enough!"

Wild Heart Collectif responded:

"I'm so glad you had the confidence to go away and start making jewellery on your own. Top student! Was lovely to meet you Sue and hope to see you again this summer x"

kyle reviewed: Blacksmithing Experience Day at Leeds, West Yorkshire

"Attended this course when it was in its infancy along with 2 freinds. Was superb and great fun. I've never worked metal before so everything was new and exciting. Jacek was really good and ensured that I didn't hurt myself and that I managed to achieve my end goal of producing an arrow head and a pennanular brooch. Both items now sit proudly on my bookshelf. So in conclusion: Was it worth the cost - absolutely Would I go again - absolutely What are you waiting for. Book on and have a great time."

Naomi reviewed: Sand Casting in Glass with Jon Lewis and Ewa Wawrzyniak

"This was my first experience of sand casting with glass. It’s an amazing experience for anyone. Eva is friendly, relaxed and strikes a good balance of being supportive and encourages you to experiment . The studio has pieces Eva has created which is really helpful and gives you ideas of what you like and ideas of what’s possible. Jon poured the glass, so don’t worry you are perfectly safe. The are a great team and it was lovely to meet them. The best bit is walking away with 3 amazing pieces of glass that you didn’t know you had the ability to make. You will want to go again ."

Clare reviewed: Solid silver precious metal clay jewellery making courses

"A fantastic course in an absolutely stunning location! I’ve been on a few craft courses previously and fancied trying my hand at jewellery making next. I chose somewhere away from home so I could make it into a little holiday with friends. This course had it all. We spent a weekend exploring the beautiful Pembrokeshire beaches and coastline and enjoyed some creative ‘me’ time. We learnt all about crafting with silver and I came home with a gorgeous pair of solid silver seashell earrings that I’ll treasure. Thanks Hannah, it couldn’t have been better! I’ll be back to do a copper workshop this summer."

Wild Heart Collectif responded:

"I'll hold you to that copper course Clare, you were a natural and a pleasure to teach! Thanks so much for joining me on a course and look forward to seeing you again x"

Zeynep Gurler reviewed: One day silver clay course at Gallery in Heswall, Wirral

"I enjoyed every moment of this experience: learning a new skill & meeting lovely people. Georgina is a great teacher; always ready to help when needed and to answer our endless questions. We were provided with more than enough equipment/tools to create the pieces we want. I made a brooch, 2 pendants and still have some silver clay left to work with later. The venue was nice, clean and very close to Heswall bus stop. In short, I highly recommend this (one day) course."

Perfectcharm responded:

"Thank you Zeynep. So glad you enjoyed the course. I loved your creativity. Good luck with your new venture."
