Wayne Carroll reviewed: Introduction to traditional stained glass (1 day) in Sheffield, South Yorkshire

"Christine and I thoroughly enjoyed the one day traditional stained glass workshop we both attended on Saturday. Kate is an excellent tutor. She explained each process in detail and spent lots of time with each student when needed. Imagine our surprise to walk away with 2 finished stained glass pieces at the end of the day. We will most definitely come back to experience more and we would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone. Thank you again Kate for a great day."

Judy Grant reviewed: Glass fusing 1 day workshop

"Loved this course! I’d wanted to learn how to make images with fused glass for ages and in this course I found the perfect way to learn. Jane taught me the basics, stepped in when I was struggling and then left me to create my own masterpieces! I would highly recommend joining Jane to learn the skills of fused glass."

Kieth Rubery reviewed: Tool sharpening

"I arrived 10 minutes late but was immediately greeted with a smile and offer of tea or coffee. I found the course very enjoyable and informative. Dave and the team we’re very friendly and as you would expect knowledgeable about tools, sharpening and how to use them. Dave and his team explained all the various ways to sharpen tools and the equipment needed. Most of the other people like me on the course had watched various ways to sharpen tools on YouTube, but felt we needed to be shown one way, and the right way. Dave’s method which he’s used for years was shown and it appeared we all felt comfortable with his method. I would recommend this course to anyone who would not only like to learn how to sharpen their tools, but also maintain them to a high standard of sharpness. Excellent course, excellent venue, very friendly. I will be going again."

Sally Boyton reviewed: Leather Clutch Purse Workshop

"I had a lovely time on Tracy's course and having played around with small projects at home using leather offcuts, it was great be tutored by someone with experience so I could learn and apply the basics skills properly. The courses are held in a beautifully restored barn and you receive an apron and your own little tool kit for the duration. Tracy was friendly, professional and practical, taking us through every step of the make with great patience. We enjoyed a warm drink and a chat afterwards which is always a nice part of working together. I highly recommend booking an experience with her."

Jill Phillips reviewed: One Day Jewellery Course - New Forest

"I had a fantastic day with Natalia in her studio for the embossed earrings course. I was the only participant on the day so it became a one-to-one session and that meant I was able to make a bracelet as well as a pair of earrings. I really appreciated the way Natalia contacted me in advance of the course to discuss my ideas and materials costs. The day flew by because I enjoyed it so much. I had never done any silversmithing or jewellery making before but it didn't matter that I was a complete beginner - Natalia is an excellent teacher and explained everything fully. I was amazed at the number of different techniques I was able to learn and it was great being involved at every stage. The setting and Natalia's studio in the New Forest is perfect. I will definitely be back for more courses and I will treasure my new jewellery. Thank you Natalia!"

Richard Driver reviewed: Woodcarving for beginners - two day course in Suffolk

"This was a fantastic introduction to wood carving. I thoroughly enjoyed it, lots to learn but Gerald is literally the most patient person I have ever met, and answers all your repeated questions like it's the first time. He had such a passion for the craft and that is really infectious...it makes you want to continue. Add to that the delicious food provided by his wife and the never ending supply of tea and biccies, it's a winning combination. Try for yourself....you won't be disappointed."

Pete axon reviewed: Welding course: Mig, Tig, Stick, with the Iron Lady - Bradwell Blacksmiths

"This 1 day course was amazing. I am a complete beginner and had some sight issues but Natalie was understanding and helped me overcome this problem. Natalie's enthusiasm and knowledge is infectious. She makes the day fun, teaches you all you need to know about safety, and how to use the equipment. Once you begin to learn to weld then its practice, practice and more practice. The course is a great insight into welding and I would strongly recommend this course. 10 out 10, 5 stars and Natalie is a great teacher. Thank you so much Natalie. Pete"

"I must admit, at the beginning, I was worried I was not going to remember everything and be able to do the intricate work. However, Natalia was with me every step of the way and I was amazed at what we achieved. I am chuffed to bits with my bracelet and will definitely be returning for another course. Earrings next!"

Rowena Joseph reviewed: Textile design one day workshop for adults with Penny Mason, Birmingham (NO CLASSES UNTIL MARCH 2021)

"I returned to Penny’s, this time for a day of Batik. Penny led us through the process of planning a design, starting with many examples of work to inspire us and then giving us guidance and assistance whenever needed. She is brilliant at giving you just the right amount of information, encouragement and guidance to both inspire and build confidence. Dan was on hand with teas and coffees and provided us with a scrumptious lunch and Jane made the yummiest dessert. What a lovely way to spend the day!"

Dottie Logan reviewed: Drawing classes. Bringing drama and life with charcoal- all levels welcome!

"Sarah’s teaching method is truly unique. I thoroughly enjoyed this course and cannot believe some of the work that is coming out as a result. Not having done any work for many years I am astounded that I have achieved a piece worthy of framing and so did everyone else. The class content and materials are spot on and it is Sarah’s ability to teach techniques in an understanding and friendly environment that has the edge. I look forward to the class every week. Thank you Sarah. Dottie"

Emma Allum reviewed: Make your own Leather Apron for the BBQ, Crafting, Utility, Workshop

"A fantastic workshop and has resulted in creating a bespoke apron that I am very proud of and I can't stop showing to everyone - even if they haven't asked to see it!! The day is very relaxed and the instructions and demonstrations are very clear and if any help is required nothing is too much trouble. The materials are fantastic quality and the range of leather is huge - the hardest bit is choosing which leather you want to use. I will definitely be booking onto some other courses this year - think it may become a bit addictive!"

Chris Horwood reviewed: French Polishing & Woodcare - Beginners Course - 1 Day

"My husband and I attended a one day course in French polishing with Ollie in early March. We had a wonderful day and found Ollie very knowledgable and a highly skilled trainer in the subject. He was happy to spend his time explaining and demonstrating the process, also helping with my project where needed. I had never done anything like this before and learnt so much, taking back home a table that before had looked very sad and had seen better days to something I was really proud of. I would definitely recommend this course however I would suggest a 2 day to fully appreciate the process. My husband like myself enjoyed the course and is planning to use the skills learnt to bring back to life other furnishings in our home. Thank you Ollie for a wonderful day."
