Natalia Davies reviewed: Pottery Throwing (Group Discounts Available) Lessons in Worcester

"Booked this for me and my mum for her birthday. Neither of us really knew what to expect but Chris was so welcoming and friendly, and above all patient while teaching us how to use the pottery wheel. Communication was excellent throughout the booking process, and it all felt incredibly safe and mindful of COVID guidelines during the lesson. Really enjoyed the experience - actually coming home with several lovely, useable pots was a bonus! Would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a bit of an unusual afternoon treat."

Chris Greening Pottery responded:

"Hi Natalia, Many thanks for such a lovely review - I thought the pots your and Della made were great - particularly as you were both so unsure that you'd actually make anything! They were great! I'm particularly pleased and grateful that you also felt safe in these strange times. It's nice to know that the additional efforts on both my and those attending are working. Best wishes, Chris."

Donna Deeks reviewed: Calligraphy: four-lesson correspondence and/or zoom courses with Gaynor Goffe

"I've been working with Gaynor via correspondence for 2 1/2 years, both with her 4-lesson courses and on my own special projects, and it has been an excellent experience. The exercises and examples she has provided in the courses have been clear and detailed, and her spot-on feedback on the individual projects has enabled me to start developing my eye for design and layout. Gaynor provides a solid foundation for beginning students, and teaches more advanced students how to refine and realise their calligraphic ideas. Calligraphy by correspondence really does work, and I highly recommend Gaynor's courses."

Alice Clough reviewed: Linocut printmaking in Cornwall

"I had a wonderful time on the 2-day Lino printing workshop with Olivia. She was an excellent tutor, offering lots of information and advice, but also giving us enough space to learn and experiment. She encouraged me to really explore my abilities, and as a result I came away having made a whole set of prints using two different techniques that I was really pleased with. I was able to achieve far more than I imagined, and felt I had really challenged myself and learnt a lot. Olivia's workshop was suitable for complete beginners, as well as artists and printers who are interested in trying something different or experimenting under expert guidance. I would highly recommend this workshop."

Karen Adams reviewed: Exploring Styles

"I hadn’t painted since I left school 36yrs previously! Julie spent time explaining perspectives and horizons before going on to use of colour and tools. The practice hour was invaluable before getting stuck into the ‘real’ picture. The reaction from family and friends when I showed them my artwork was worth the 36yr wait! I’m very excited to get on to the next course when I’m able to. Thank you Julie. Xxxx"

Julie Ford Art responded:

"Thanks so much Karen. Delighted you enjoyed and and look forward to seeing you again. x"

Claire Carley reviewed: Enamel Jewellery - Beginner - 3 Hours - One to One

"Such a great morning with Rachel learning how to enamel. Every stage was well demonstrated and Rachel was on hand to offer help and advice throughout. I am thrilled with what I managed to produce in 3 hours (which flew by!) Will definitely be trying some other avtivities in the future, thank you Rachel. A brief mention of the dreaded Covid19...we both wore masks, the window was open and we maintained social distance, it felt a very safe activity, well managed."

Tricia Boateng reviewed: Make a silver ring or bangle

"I have previously had some lovely days with Lucy and completed a brooch and two bangles. One for my daughter who is so pleased with it she has never taken it off since I gave it to her! With my wedding coming up and after a chat with Lucy I decided to go for an ambitious wedding present for my husband to be. Lucy supported and encouraged me in the design and making of a very complicated piece - a round silver box with an etched top. At every stage I was treated to a kind, patient and informative style of teaching. Plus an excellent coffee to start me off! I have so enjoyed the days spent in Lucy’s company and in her workshop. Not only is it a haven in which to leave the stresses of daily life behind but it is somewhere to explore one’s creative potential - Lucy is always a step ahead with ideas and support. My husband loves his special, unique, box (thankfully finished before lockdown!) and it is a family treasure now to pass on."

Her studio is quiet and calm and full of plenty of inspiration and she is happy to allow you to explore your creative self having as much or as little support and help as you need! Absolutely fabulous and will certainly be returning for more workshops."

Turid Monteith reviewed: Linocut printmaking in Cornwall

"I attended a one day workshop last weekend with Olivia. I really enjoyed my day and came away having learnt loads about lino printing, and with several copies of a print that makes me smile! Olivia was an engaging, fun, inspiring and very informative tutor, and I imagine attending the course would suit the novice (like me) or more experienced printer alike. I would love to attend another workshop, and would try and book onto the whole weekend next time, as although it was enough time to complete a print, it would have been a real luxury to have the time to develop what I had learnt on a second day. I happily recommend Olivia and her workshops. It was a real pleasure to attend."

"Liz's workshop was excellent! In respect of the current situation with Covid every precaution and adherence to protocols were completely explained and adhered to throughout and I felt safe. Liz had prepared well with the tutorials, practical sessions, with everything we needed at our workstations. She is a gifted, knowledgeable, generous and enthusiastic tutor, with the ability to explain, inspire and support across a mixed ability class. A lovely setting and a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere conducive to learning even though we worked hard. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would love to attend another of Liz’s workshops should an opportunity arise."

Sharon Jackson reviewed: Silver Clay Jewellery Course

"A small group of us attended the silver clay workshop. We all had our own equipment and tools. The studio is very light, airy and very comfortable. Yolanda and John quickly put us at ease. There was a plentiful supply of tea/coffee or cold drinks. We had a fabulous lunch and later in the day we had afternoon tea. All the materials we required were included in the price as was the lunch. Yolanda is an excellent tutor. She is patient and her instructions are clear And encouraging. There was plenty of one to one tuition as and when required. We all had a fabulous time and feel the cost of the course was very good value. We will be back to do another course. In view of the size of the studio we were able to maintain social distancing. We were each supplied with a mask and a bottle of sanitiser which we were encouraged to use."
