Description
We are delighted to welcome back local artist Zoë Duncan for this relaxing yet informative watercolour class, as she returns to share her expertise in this sunflower workshop. Over the course of 2 and a half hours, Zoë will teach you how to capture the essence of this iconic summer flower. You will learn all the basics of watercolour painting, as well as how to lift off painted surfaces, with brushes, paper and sponges allowing soft edges to appear. You will also learn how to create effects in the background using negative painting - and how a looser approach can breathe life into your work. There will be demonstrations as well as plenty of opportunity for 1-2-1 learning and questions. This class is suitable for absolute beginners, as well as more experienced painters and everyone will leave with their own sunflower watercolour picture. All materials will be provided.
