In this enlightening quilting techniques workshop 'Walk the Walk', you will delve into the magical world of quilting with a walking foot. Janet, our experienced instructor, will guide you through various techniques, helping you overcome any quilting hurdles. By the end of the class, you’ll have a stunning set of samples to take home as proof of your newfound skills. Entering a workshop environment can be intimidating, but fear not! This class is designed for beginners, so you'll be in a supportive setting where it's okay to make mistakes and ask questions as you learn, and if you have quilted before but want to hone your skills, then come along. Throughout the activity: - You will explore the art of quilting with a walking foot. - Janet will impart her wisdom and insights. By the end of the session, you may feel: - Empowered with knowledge of quilting techniques. - Inspired to continue your quilting journey. - Confident in using a walking foot for future projects. As you create a set of 8 samples, including crosshatch, matchstick, skinny diamond, and orange peel designs, you will witness your skills grow and flourish. Please be aware that some preparation of materials will be necessary beforehand, ensuring you can fully immerse yourself in this enriching experience. There will be a break for lunch between approximately 12.30 and 13.30. There is a coffee shop on site: "O for Coffee". Attendees at our classes are visited by coffee shop staff regularly throughout the day to take any orders. Anything consumed during your day is sold at 10% discount. As well as a large choice of hot and cold drinks, the menu comprises savoury choices including sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes and soups. For those with a sweet tooth, there is a selection of cakes and scones made in house with gluten free and vegan options.

Our workshops are reasonably priced. You may like to use items from your stash. Anything you don't have can be purchased in advance or on the day from Tudor Rose Patchwork. Detailed requirements will be emailed in advance.

Should you wish to cancel your attendance on a workshop more than 4 weeks before the workshop date you will receive a refund.
Should you wish to cancel your attendance on a workshop less than four weeks before the workshop date, your payment cannot be refunded.
If a pattern is available for the workshop and no refund is possible then Tudor Rose Patchwork will arrange for you to receive the pattern.
Patterns are not available for workshops that you have not attended or paid for.
Patterns remain the property of the tutor and should not be copied, passed on or used for teaching purposes without  the permission of the tutor.

Yes. We have a shop you can visit alongside our two classrooms and coffee shop. There is a huge selection of products for crafters: sewing, knitting, crochet, patchwork and quilting, mixed media, haberdashery, embroidery and so much more.

You will be emailed a requirements list in advance. You can buy everything you don't already have in our shop. We will always make clear anything that you need for the day that we don't sell so you have time to source elsewhere.

Upon arrival, park in the car park at the front of the shop. Unload your vehicle into your classroom. Staff will then advise you where to park your car for the day at the rear of the complex.
