Silver textured wide ring, pendant or earrings with stone setting in Milton Keynes
Description
During this silver jewellery workshop you will be guided through all the techniques to make a silver textured wide ring, earrings or a pendant with a pre-made stone setting. You will learn how to: - Texture silver sheet with hammers and a rolling mill. - Form sheet silver using pliers. - Use a torch to solder settings and findings to your work. - Set your gemstones using stone setting tools and a burnisher. - Polish your work. Laser-cut paper, skeleton leaves and lace can be used to texture the metal so please do feel free to bring your own, but note that they will be crushed in the process. Materials: are in addition to the course fee and will be approximately £10 – £20 depending on your design. Level: Beginner friendly.

Maker
I was interested in making and designing from a very early age and developed my first jewellery range in 2000. I then discovered my love for teaching in 2004 and have been developing my courses ever since. I have a home teaching studio for 1:1 & 1:2 sessions and in 2017 I set up a teaching studio at Yardley Arts where I can teach up to 11 learners. Qualifications: BA in Designed Metalwork and Jewellery from BCUC and MA Royal College of Art Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery.
