Silver clay jewellery Devon Workshop - capturing nature in silver

Description

Spend a creative few hours in the beautiful Devon countryside, creating jewellery inspired by nature at the beautiful setting of Mothecombe Gardens. You'll have the chance to explore the garden and collect some natural objects which we'll use to create beautiful fine silver jewellery using silver clay. This silver clay workshop is ideal for beginners, and learn to mould silver clay then fire it by hand, and make a beautiful solid silver pendant. Guided by artist Rebecca Lucy, this is your chance to escape from the outside world and get creatively inspired by the natural world. During the course of the workshop you'll learn how to make moulds of natural objects such as small leaves and twigs and use them to cast a beautiful piece of silver pendant. The workshop is relaxed and friendly and lasts approx 2.5 - 3 hours depending on how many pieces need to be fired. Over the course of the workshop you'll learn: *An introduction to silver clay and it's properties *Creating a mould from small natural objects *Adding texture using natural objects such as leaves, twigs or flowers *How to fire and finish your magical creation
