Description
A fantastic course for children ages 8-16 years to learn how to sew and make their own skirt. In this session we show young people how to: - Safely use a sewing machine. - Assemble a garment from a pattern. - Sew seams and hems and add elastic. Sew and make a removable flower corsage. No experience required. Different fabrics to choose from. Please note, your child will use a sewing machine in this session (this has been risk assessed with appropriate tools for age). By booking, you consent to your child using this equipment. Please contact us via the 'message the tutor button before or immediately after booking if your child has ANY medical information that we need to be aware of, any special learning needs or requirements, or any allergies. Please also feel free to contact us with any other information we should be aware of. Please send your child with a drink/snack (no nuts please). We also offer a discount for booking multiple sessions*. If you book two or more sessions with Thread and Press CIC in a 2 month period, you may be entitled to a 10% money back offer. You do not need to do anything to get this discount, we will contact you after booking to let you know how we will apply this. If you do not hear from us, please do feel free to contact us. * Family and subsidised sessions are excluded. This is normally a child-only session. Drop off and pick up is at the start and end times given. However, if you feel you child would benefit from support in the session, a supervising adult/parent can be present. Session is run by a qualified teacher with Enhanced DBS Thread and Press CIC are ERMOS registered. We will send a copy of our Terms and Conditions, including our policies, when working with children, after booking. If you wish to read these before booking, please contact us and we will end these to you. We will never photograph your child in any of our sessions, without your prior permission, which we would always seek on the day of the session, in-person.
