Printmaking: Exploring Etching with Hilary Daltry

Hosted by The Heatherley School of Fine Art. This 5-day etching course is suitable for all levels and abilities. It also makes an ideal introduction to the exciting world of printmaking for beginners. Starting with monoprint, you’ll explore a wide range of etching techniques from the drawn line to creating tone with aquatint. You’ll explore techniques including hardground, softground, drypoint and colour printing. There will also be the option of trying linocut and woodcut. You can work from observation or bring your own drawings and imagery for inspiration.
