Description
Learn the basics of handbuilding with clay or if you have experience you can focus on experimenting and creating textures in clay with patterned wood blocks and rollers. We will work through the basics of pinchpot, coiling and slab building to create a pot or vase as well as other smaller pieces such as bowls, plates, tiles. We will look at different ways to add decoration - carving, adding details, printing with wood blocks etc as well as different glazing techniques. This is an opportunity to explore different techniques over a number or weeks to complete many pieces so that you can confidently continue. My aim is to offer multiple dates so that if you want to, you can book into more sessions so that you can continue your journey into ceramic handbuilding and complete more projects with confidence. I can fire your work for you, which you can pick up or you can take it home.
