Throughout the day you will delve into four key areas of gold work including: - Couching where you will add textured and coloured cords to cover and infill an area. - Leatherwork such as padding with felt and free form applications. - Check, purl and purl pearl wires for forming raised and textured edgings. - Ou Nue adding coloured thread work over fine gold cord to create intricate designs. If you are a beginner, this workshop is designed to guide you through each step, giving you confidence working with the materials. You'll enjoy a hands-on experience, working with a wide variety of cords, threads, and leather to create stunning sample pieces that reflect the elegance of gold work. A light lunch and all requirements are included in the cost of the day. In addition to your light lunch, the on site coffee shop - O For Coffee - offers a large selection of hot and cold drinks plus a variety of freshly baked cakes (including gluten free and vegan options) for you to treat yourself during the day. Prices for students in a Tudor Rose Patchwork workshop are discounted by 10%.

If a pattern is available for the workshop and no refund is possible then Tudor Rose Patchwork will arrange for you to receive the pattern.
Patterns are not available for workshops that you have not attended or paid for.
Patterns remain the property of the tutor and should not be copied, passed on or used for teaching purposes without  the permission of the tutor.

Yes. We have a shop you can visit alongside our two classrooms and coffee shop. There is a huge selection of products for crafters: sewing, knitting, crochet, patchwork and quilting, mixed media, haberdashery, embroidery and so much more.

You will be emailed a requirements list in advance. You can buy everything you don't already have in our shop. We will always make clear anything that you need for the day that we don't sell so you have time to source elsewhere.

Yes. There is a coffee shop on site O for Coffee. Attendees at our classes are visited by coffee shop staff regularly throughout the day to take any orders. Anything consumed during your day is sold at 10% discount. As well as a large choice of hot and cold drinks, the menu comprises savoury choices including sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes and soups. For those with a sweet tooth, there is a selection of cakes and scones made in house with gluten free and vegan options.

Yes. The venue has disabled parking and ramps allowing access to all areas. There is a disabled toilet.

Upon arrival, park in the car park at the front of the shop. Unload your vehicle into your classroom. Staff will then advise you where to park your car for the day at the rear of the complex.
