Learn how to make your own professional quality lampshade. This workshop is ideal for beginners and is a no-sew workshop! Lighting is so important for creating a welcoming atmosphere, so what better than to make a beautiful lampshade for any room in your home that reflects your own tastes and creativity. Don't have a lamp base in mind? Don't worry, turn your favourite bottle into an instant table lamp with our ready wired bottle connector available to purchase at the workshop for £10. £35 - £40 per person. Choose your size. They can be used for a lamp base or ceiling pendant unless stated. £35 sizes included: - 20cm drum lampshade. - 30cm drum lampshade. £40 Sizes included: - 40cm drum lampshade (for ceiling pendant, lamp base or floor lamp). - 45cm drum lampshade (for ceiling pendant, lamp base or floor lamp). - 35cm empire lampshade (for a lamp base or floor lamp). We have samples made up of each size and shape, if you are uncertain of which size to make you can choose at the workshop. Bring a piece of your chosen fabric, the size depends on any pattern repeat and the size of the lampshade you are making. Please press but do not cut to final size. The final fabric size required will be: - For a 20cm Drum Lampshade, fabric must be at least 645mm wide x 220 mm. - For a 25cm Empire Lampshade, fabric must be at least 820mm x 320mm. - For a 30cm Drum Lampshade, fabric must be at least 970mm wide x 255mm. - For a 40cm Drum Lampshade, fabric must be at least 1296mmwide x 298mm. - For a 45cm Drum Lampshade, fabric must be at least 1454mm wide x 298mm. - For a 35cm Empire Lampshade, fabric must be at least 1140mm wide x 420mm. Any fabric is suitable provided it is a light to medium weight, avoid heavy textures, velvet and heavy embellishment.

Crafting in the Cotswolds – what’s not to love? Lechlade Craft Barn offers craft workshops in the pretty Cotswolds market town of Lechlade on Thames. The Craft Barn is an attractive old stone barn at Karen's home and is the perfect setting to discover and develop your crafting skills. Owner Karen has a long-held passion for crafting, with backgrounds in retail and event management. Along with her workshops, she is joined by a talented team of guest tutors who offer a wide range of craft workshops. The barn is accessed via external stone steps with handrails on either side and unfortunately may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Some workshops are delivered nearby in the bright and spacious Memorial Hall complex and other local venues. In addition to published workshops, we also offer bespoke Crafty Parties for Hens, groups of friends and family, special occasions, or any excuse to have a crafty day.
