Moonlight Hares 1-day painting workshop

X

Description

Create your own hare painting on canvas! All the materials needed for the day are provided, spend the day with me painting, learning and socialising with a small group of friendly artists and take home your own original painting of a moonlight hare (whether its merely a gleam, a crescent moon, or a full moon, it's your choice). This workshop is suitable for beginners and seasoned artists alike. You'll be amazed at what you can achieve. And everybody's paintings are always so different. You will choose your own colours and composition to create a work of art that is uniquely yours. I will show you my simple process step by step, and with the additional help of reference photographs, we will create a lovely bunch of hares! We begin at 10 and paint till 3 pm with breaks for coffee and cake (included), and lunch. (Please bring a packed lunch, but you will be supplied with plenty of cake 😀). Wheelchair friendly venue with plenty of parking on site. Wear clothing that can cope with an accidental splash of paint, and get ready to have fun, relax and learn. Children over 10 are welcome when accompanied by a participating adult

I am a professional artist, specialising in animals and nature subjects. I have been offering workshops and demonstrations for 3 years. It is important to me that each person who comes to one of my courses feels comfortable and can work at their own pace. The focus is on building up your techniques to allow you to loosen up and paint with confidence. I encourage you to paint straight onto your canvas, without pre-drawing in pencil. We focus on seeing the big shapes first and then getting to the details later - working in layers. I love hearing from my students who are happily taking their painting forward following a workshop and getting great results too. As an artist, I work in oils, acrylics and mixed media. My use of colour can be surprising and quite bright! My rainbow cow painting is on the cover of Artists and Illustrators' March 2023 edition.
