Discover the craft of lampshade making and transform your lighting into a personalised statement piece. In this workshop you will learn step by step how to make a drum lampshade for either a lamp or a ceiling fitting from the fabric of your choice. There's no sewing required in this relaxed and easy to follow session. This is suitable for complete beginners or more experienced crafters alike. You will need: Fabric - this needs to be at least 1 metre wide by over 30cm in depth. In terms of fabric choices, we would suggest a cotton or linen fabric although you can use velvet. If you aren't sure just email us and ask. Some people buy more fabric than they need so that they can make additional lampshades to match after the workshop - we sell the kits a discount on the day to do this. Accessibility: We are in the upstairs workshop space. There are toilet facilities available, parking available nearby. If you have accessibility needs please let us know so we can try to accommodate you as much as possible. Craft and Create North East CIC are 3 local ladies who have been teaching workshops for many years. We cover a wide range of crafts between us and are completely mobile so we can cover anywhere in the North East. Cancellation Policy: All workshops must be paid in full at the time of booking. We understand that things happen in life so should you need to cancel your booking please contact us as soon as possible. A full refund will be given or the opportunity to book another date if we are given 14 days or more notice before the date of the workshop. Between 7 and 14 days before the workshop date – no refund will be given, however you will have the opportunity to book another date. Less than 7 days before the workshop date - no refund will be provided and no opportunity to book another date will. Any refund due will be paid to the original payee only and by the original payment method. If you fail to turn up for your workshop, you will be ineligible for a refund and you will not be able to move your booking to an alternative date. If a workshop is cancelled by ourselves or the provider of the workshop location, you will be offered the choice of a full refund or to book onto an alternative workshop. You will be provided with as much notice as possible if a workshop has to be cancelled.

We are 3 ladies who have been providing a number of different craft workshops for a couple of years now. We can teach a wide variety of crafts form lampshade making to home fragrances, resin to needlefelting. We offer sessions for groups and parties too.
