Introduction to Glass Fusing with Una Galbraith
Description
Discover the art of glass fusing in this hands-on workshop. Learn the essential techniques of cutting, layering, and fusing glass to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces. Guided by Una Galbraith, you’ll explore the properties of glass, experiment with colour and texture, learn how to cut glass, and design two or three small projects, such as jewellery, drink stirrers, bookmarks, hanging decorations, tiles, or magnets. Or, if you’re most interested in one thing – like jewellery – you can focus on that. With all materials and tools provided, this workshop offers a relaxed and creative environment to ignite your artistic side. Perfect for anyone curious about glass art, this introduction promises a fun and inspiring experience! It’s a relaxed atmosphere where not only will you develop your glass fusing skills, but you’ll also have an enjoyable day out. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners but more experienced fusers are welcome too. Your pieces will need to be fired in the kiln and you can collect them a few days later, or we can post them out to you for a small extra charge to cover postage/packing. This is also a great workshop for team building and private parties – if you’d like to book for a private event.
