Take the mystery out of DIY with this introductory day course in DIY. Through building a miniature stud wall, learn skills for fixing and improving your home. On this course you will: - Learn about tools and materials. - Learn how to use a range of basic tools: drill, screwdriver, saw, caulking gun, hammer, etc. - Practice hand skills e.g. measuring, marking, hammering, drilling. - Learn the skills to be able to fix a few basic household issues; holes in the wall, loose skirting, filling, etc. - Learn about putting up pictures and shelves; what fittings are appropriate and how to attach them. With years of experience, Imogen will help you gain confidence and get acquainted with the world of DIY. She designed this course after hearing how many people want to gain more practical skills and be able to do DIY in their own home. She wants to take the mystery away from how your house is built, giving you the skills and confidence to make the changes you want to make.
