Step into the heat of the studio and discover the magic of molten glass in this fun and accessible half-day taster session. Under expert guidance from award-winning glassmaker Jonathan Rogers, you’ll learn essential skills such as gathering, shaping, and blowing glass. This experience is suitable for complete beginners and includes plenty of one-on-one time. You’ll make your own vessel to take home — such as a tumbler, bud vase, or small bowl — using coloured frits to personalise your creation. Held in our brand-new purpose-built studio near Saffron Walden, North Essex, this session offers a unique creative escape in a peaceful rural setting.

Yes — our new studio has step-free access, accessible parking, though our toilet facilities are not suitable for wheelchairs. Please get in touch with any needs.

Due to the heat and equipment, participants must be aged 16+. Younger guests may attend to watch by prior arrangement.

No — your piece needs to cool slowly in a kiln overnight. You can collect it later or choose to have it posted (postal fee applies).

Please wear natural fibre clothing (like cotton), long trousers, and closed-toe shoes. Avoid synthetic fabrics. We’ll provide safety glasses and kevlar safety sleeves.
