Step into the world of greenwood crafting, where tradition meets creativity. This hands-on workshop invites you to transform freshly cut ‘green’ wood into stunning and functional items, all while mastering essential skills in knife and axe safety. What You’ll Learn Guided by our skilled tutors, you’ll explore the art of greenwood working, using traditional hand tools like shave horses, axes, and crook knives to create your own: •Spatulas •Butter knives •Wooden flowers •Walking sticks •Knife Safety: Learn safe techniques to work confidently and precisely. •Tool Sharpening: Discover how to maintain your tools, ensuring they stay sharp and effective. What's included in the price?
All tools and equipment will be provided Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available throughout the day. Lunch provided cooked over and open fire (Please make sure to let us know if you have any dietary requirements when booking) Why not consider staying the night before or after the workshop. Staying overnight in our wood will give you a deeper experience of being in nature, taking a dip in the river and enjoying the crystal clear night sky afforded us by our remote location on the foothills of Bodmin Moor. You can hire one of our 5m belltents (with wood burner for the colder months): price for the bell tent is £95.00/night (for up to 4 people).
