Historic textile artist Katie Sawyer will guide you through the entire process of creating your very own thread. No prior experience is necessary, so whether you're a seasoned crafter or a curious beginner, this workshop is for you! Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to explore the versatile and eco-friendly world of stinging nettle fabric. All materials and tools are provided, please bring a pair of rubber or gardening gloves if possible to reduce the need for single use disposable gloves. The event is on the rooftop Sky Garden on the top floor of the Golden Square Shopping Centre parking garage. The workshop will progress at your pace, with as many breaks as you want. Some hand dexterity is needed to process the nettles, Katie can assist with any difficult parts. For any other access needs, please get in touch via the 'message the tutor' button.

Gardening gloves or rubber gloves (marigolds) will protect your hands from any stray stinging hairs.
